It is a very good Italian restaurant in a somewhat understated building. We had cheese ravioli and spaghetti works (meatball, mushrooms and sausage). These dishes had Large lunch portions of amazingly tasting food.

Average prices for better than average food. The warm slightly crispy rolls were delicious. Salad was very good due to homemade tomato and basil dressing. Spaghetti and meatballs was a large portion and tasted good. The ‘ monster pasta special ‘ was just ok. $14.99 for a small tray of penne with Alfredo sauce topped with Baked cheese was overpriced. I would eat here again, and will stick to Spaghetti and meatballs.

Best itialian food in mcalester oklahoma. I’ve been to Pete’s place and Rosannas and both of these places can’t even touch modo mios. The food here has actual flavor and is actually hot. This place has good bread rolls and service is always great. We got three diffrent dishes and they all had great flavor. They sauces really bring the A game that Is needed in a small town like mcalester. This is were we go when we want great tasting food that is duffrent and affordable. There desserts are amazing as well. Don’t waste your time and money at other Italian places and come here for real food that isn’t a hype place like the others in town are. Check my other Italian food reviews to ensure I’m just not saying bad things and I’ve actually been there.

Truly a hidden gem! Decided to eat while passing through on a trip and so glad we did! Extremely wheelchair accessible, friendly staff treat the customers like family. Delicious authentic food. If I lived nearby, this would be my weekly date night go-to. If you’re in town, you’ve got to try this place!

The interior is pleasant and the service is good. The food portions are very generous. But the food is not well seasoned. We had chicken cacciatore which really needed more garlic and basil.

I enjoyed my chicken alfredo very creamy and chicken was tener. Son had lobster ravioli said the ravioli itself was a little hard and could have been cooked longer and the pink sauce was delicious when roll was dipped in it. The sweet tea was plenty sweet no overwhelming with sugar. Our server act like she wasn’t in it at all. She should smile when she greeting the patrons she did a good job keeping our tea class filled. It was kinda dead for a Friday evening 6:45. The bathroom was clean but so.eone should really clean the entrance hall there were June bugs everywhere at lest 20 dead ones. Parking was easy and to get off and back on Carl Albert road was simple. Over all it was delicious.

Josh the Manager there was a super understanding and nice person. Very professional and courteous. I wish there were ten billion people on Earth like him and I am very glad to have been able to have this man assist me. 10/10 will continue to order Modo Mio until my dying days. The positives: The TASTE of the entrees we’re very good. Our waitress was super friendly, and she was doing the best she could, but… The Negatives: it seemed she was getting little or no support from the kitchen. The salad was a small pile of chopped iceberg lettuce, nothing else. They ran out of bread because they were focusing on pizzas instead. The fried mushrooms were, well, my favorite burger joint serves better fried mushrooms. They also took way too long to be brought to the table. It was an all around bad experience. At one point, at a different table, the patrons had to ask for silverware (after their salads were brought out). Their waitress brought out forks and knives to them and apologized that they weren’t wrapped in napkins yet because they were just out of the washer. Then they had to ask for napkins, too.

Food is always top of the line. Everything I’ve eaten there has never disappointed me. The owners are outstanding. They’re very kind and always has a smile. I can’t say enough about Moto Mio, it’s one of the best places to eat in McAlester. Food is always fresh out of the oven. So I would encourage everyone to at least give them a try. They will not disappoint.
