First time here on a Wednesday noontime on a cool spring day. Outdoor seating area quite large with colorful chairs and tables. With my dog Lulu I enjoyed their breaded chicken sandwich with a side of Mac & Cheese. I sampled the Helldorado sauce and it’s well named, very spicy. Alexa Lou was very accomodating, friendly and efficient. Glancing at other reviewers comments I believe she’s the proprietor. We’ll be returning to enjoy her service and to sample more food offerings – and maybe even up ’em to 5-stars!

The service here is exceptional and I love the atmosphere, however the food is okay. Constructive feedback: I think the chicken sandwiches often have too much sauce on them, kinda messy. The popcorn chicken tastes yummy but is dry. Just some slight tweaks to the way some of the food is made will have a great impact. Maybe you could do a day where people come in to try various foods from the menu and leave feedback?

I was in the area from out of town and stopped by after passing the glow of the neon sign. I really wish we could have this place in South Lake Tahoe. Can’t say enough great things about this amazing place. The staff is amazing with friendly, fast service and the food was out of this world. Reminds me of being home

The new ChxShop is My New favorite restaurant ❤️ Nikki was an amazing Bartender!!! Awesome, phenomenal service & personality!!! Alexa the owner introduced herself & was very sweet to I & all the other customers. The atmosphere here is for everyone! Fun, colorful, & cute decor + lighting! All the staff are very friendly & hardworking. Now I’ll talk about the food…..SOOOO TASTY, FLAVORFUL & different than all the other establishments around El Dorado County! Yummy! Mom + Pop Chicken shop is hands down the best place anywhere to get a great chicken based menu. The chicken is the most juicy and flavorful chicken i have ever tasted. The spices in the flavoring are not over powering or under seasoned and bland. The crispy touch is a great with its texture.

They’re back! I am so happy to see Chicken Shop back in business. We came out opening night for the best chicken you’ve ever had. Would be great if you guys didn’t forget our sauces every order! Been coming here before it was redone as a loyal customer, and loved when they came back. Still order consistently, but you guys ALWAYS forget our sauces! We try to remember to check every time and there is still always sauces missing; sometimes we catch it before leaving to go back home and ask for the missing sauces, and when we don’t check it’s a guarantee we are missing sauces. Getting ridiculous having plain fried chicken with no sauces which then become inedible!

I love the zoom and pop chicken shop. Chicken Shop was just what we needed! We had the proper chopped salad and the tacos, both were perfect . The service we’re good. Staff is always friendly and positive. This place is just the best. I recommend.

It’s official. This was the WORST meal I have ever attempted to eat. I ordered chicken and waffles. The food itself was cold. The chicken was moist but it had no flavor whatsoever, and the waffles were rock hard! I could literally bang them on the table and it didn’t faze them a bit. My husband ordered Mac and cheese and it too, was flavorless and cold. I told the server and he said the reason why the waffles were “crispy” was because they use malt in the waffle batter which is normal for a light airy waffle. This waffle was rock hard and virtually impossible to eat without tearing up the inside of your mouth! I tried adding butter, but there was no heat to melt it. In the end the server took the waffle meal off the bill which was a good gesture, but not enough to make this foodie go back for a second round.
