If you like Soul Food with a Caribbean flair, if you like a fun upbeat atmosphere then this is a place you definitely want to check out. My beautiful Wahine Queen and I along with my oldest son went there tonight. It was Definitely Winnahs. For the people in the Cheap Seats that means that the whole package was really great. It a small restaurant in a small Shopping Center so parking might be interesting. If you got a good personality then you’ll have a good time. The Staff is very Professional however they have a great sense of humor and an awesome personality. They show love for the YS Military as well. We ordered Fried shrimp plate, two fish and shrimp plates, side dishes were green beans, rice and beans with some oxtail sauce on and my favorite collard greens. We also had Banana pudding. Theirs will put others to shame.And at 9:00 PM no they don’t throw you out. We will definitely be there again.

I got the wings and shrimp combo with Mac and cheese and greens. Everything is seasoned well and cooked to perfect in my opinion. I’ve ordered this several times at this point so they’re pretty consistent. I’ve had their oxtails and though they’re flavorful they’re not very tender but they’re still pretty good. My only gripe is they seem to run out of stuff sometimes but overall I’d recommend it. 4/5 stars.

Hello, this post has been a long time coming and I can finally give kudos to this lovely dining experience and delicious food! My work team had our year end lunch here for about 17 people including two kiddos and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate even in a mom/pop size restaurant. We felt like one big family hanging out eating some great food (jerk, stew, oxtail, catfish and bomb sides). You can bring your own drink too (and act appropriately of course). My company has also catered food with Momma Luvs and the food is just as great as dining in! Please come by and get your plate(s) and I’m sure you’ll be back because my coworkers and I have surely been returning customers!! Big up!

The food here is good I got the oxtail and 4 chicken wings, the wings were a lil salty but cooked to perfection, and the oxtails were tender fall off the bone. If you don’t like sweet food don’t get the oxtail and rice. The waitress was extremely nice and beautiful I will definitely be back.

We visited Momma Luv’s Soul and Caribbean Food restaurant for a late lunch on January 7, 2023. We ordered the Oxtails entree which came with rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. The oxtails had a good flavor but were not tender. The rice and peas were dry. The cabbage was and plantains were decent. Hubby ordered Curry chicken with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains. We also ordered Southern fried wings and shrimp with a side of baked beans and baked macaroni and cheese. The baked beans were excellent. The macaroni and cheese was also very good. The fried wings and shrimp were very good and we’ve ordered it a few times since our first visit here. Customer service is great! We would definitely recommend the fried wings and shrimp, Mac n cheese and baked beans. Will certainly return.

Really really amazing food and great for the price. I think with tip and all this food I only paid about $25 or so. I’ll definitely be going back on a day with jerk chicken. Such kind people working. I’d say go early enough to get a beef patty because they were out by the time I got there but I was there pretty close to when they closed so I don’t fault them for that.

Food is delicious a small places that’s packed with flavor. I had the jerk chicken flavor and spice my kids had the fried chicken wings perfectly seasoned they loved it. A must try when you come to San Antonio.

This was my first time here cashier was super friendly . I got the oxtail which was good but super sweet , collard green were a little too sour for me but the Mac and cheese was amazing! Husband had catfish and shrimp . He enjoyed the coconut rice and beans but said catfish was a little dry. Banana pudding was not that great to me. Overall we spent 50$ which is a little over priced for take out .
