If you crave ramen or sushi, this is your spot. Duck tacos are creatively flavorful and the spicy ramen is true to the name – no extra spice needed. The pork belly is perhaps one of the best I’ve ate and is slightly sweet. Bravo.

I had to tsukemen, first few bites, it was so salty I couldn’t enjoy what I was eating, all I could taste was soy sauce /salt, I asked for dashi broth (soup wari) . They didn’t have it, which was surprising cause ur supposed to dilute the tsukemen dripping soup before drinking it and actually taste the flavors of the soup……. but hot water was fine considering I wanted to finish my meal. maybe my expectations were aIittle too high? The tonkotsu ramen was good, spicy tuna roll was also fresh and tasty.

So, I had high hopes for this place as my friend recommend it and I generally trust his opinion about Asian food, also even though it is a chain, I thought that given the pedigree of the founding chef I thought the standards in taste would have to be pretty good. I was wrong. Part of the problem is that I lived for many years in Asia and am of Asian (specifically Japanese) heritage so I am admittedly picky when it comes to Asian food. I also don’t usually love fusion restaurants, but glancing at the menu I thought that momosan the dishes didn’t seem too far off what would be served in a Japanese restaurant or izakaya. The other problem is that the restaurant does an endless brunch which attracts 20 something year old nouveau riche bro types that are totally obnoxious. When we arrived there was a table of 15 intoxicated people that were ruining the atmosphere of the restaurant – not the restaurant’s fault per se, but also makes you wonder how desperate the business is for clientele that they have to do all you can consume brunches. My spouse and I ordered karaage to start and I had the “buribap” and he had the “bibimbap.” The karaage was OK, but nothing special and they have to put like a sauce on it – karaage should generally be served with lemon but nothing more than that. The main courses of our respective baps which they “prepare” (sort of) table side were terribly salty and had way too much hoisin (or oyster sauce). Not only did it seem like the oyster sauce was mixed in to the rice prior to bringing it to the table, but afterwards when they were mixing it up table side as well. The sauce was a terrible mix of sweet and extremely salty and really ruined the dishes – I was extremely disappointed. None of the food was cheap either which was annoying given the fact that we could have ordered all you can eat and drink and gotten the same quality. All in all, if you consider yourself a connoisseur of authentic Asian flavors, do not waste your money, go somewhere else.

Definitely one of the best restaurants I have been to in Miami! Chef Cata and her team prepared an amazing array of dishes which included unique and fresh yellow tail carpaccio, yellowtail tacos, mouth watering fall off the bone sticky ribs, perfectly prepared sushi and the most incredible dumplings I have ever had in my life…and I’m from Toronto so I definitely know good Asian cuisine. If the food wasn’t enough to make me want to come back, the service was impeccable. This is truly a hidden gem in Miami. Iron chefs influence with Chef Cata’s special touch is a must try when you’re in Miami!

I truly enjoyed Momosan. The pork belly – both in the buns and in the ramen – is truly the star of this restaurant. The broth is deep. With a spicy broth, they are not just adding chili oil and calling it a day. There is true craftsmanship.

Friend invited us to try this place. Apparently it’s pretty popular in California. Dishes we ordered all tasted great. The twice cooked pork rib is super tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The fried chicken uses white meat and is very juicy and tender too.

Service was great and personable. Gave excellent information and recommendations. Not pictured here is the vegan ramen which is excellent. The atmosphere is awesome and I would recommend for a date or just with friends. Prices are great for quality and quantity of food. We were actually surprised we got such a good size compared to other places these days. Will definitely come back!!
