The food was delicious! The service was impeccable. The building itself is a little run down, but not horribly so. The food & friendly waitress made the building’s condition pretty obsolete lol. Highly recommend their stuffed pancakes during the breakfast hours .

I loved the food, and my kids also enjoyed it. For me it’s very difficult to find places when they are so picky. They had a variety of options. I tried a little of everything. They also have daily specials. If you are around this area and looking for brunch and breakfast, you must definitely try this place out.

No frills cafe… with very delicious food. Was probably the best omelet I have had. Normally places brown /overcook the egg…this one was perfect. Also normally I would send back undercooked hash…but they made them crispy like I requested..and they were amazing. CFC was very good with a nice gravy. Also the service was wonderful. 3 different people checked in on us during our visit.. We will definitely be back soon.

I used to enjoy going to this place, and now -occasionally go out of convenience. The prices have gone up, which is fine, but lately every time I go in for lunch, the tables are gross and or smell like fungus. The booths are sticky. The staff tends to be somewhat lackluster, especially when the place is empty… Hopefully things will improve soon, as it is a convenient spot.

We went for lunch on a Sunday three weeks ago. The place was not overly busy so we decided to stay for lunch. The waitress finally came over to wait on us. We got our order turned in and drinks delivered to our table. We waited and waited and waited for our order. Almost 30 minutes later our waitress came over to inform us that it was going to take almost 30 minutes longer on our order because there were several big To Go orders that were taking the full staff to prepare. We were not the only tables by this time all waiting for our food orders. We did inform the waitress that my husband takes medication and needs to eat within 15 to 20 minutes of ordering. She did not even seem to care at first but finally did go tell someone in the kitchen and finally after 50 minutes of waiting our food arrived at our table. All food was just okay. We ate quickly and finally got our check to pay. My husband told the waitress to please tell her boss we would not be back due to this being the third time of very poor service and food quality. We have visited four other cafes in the Lewisville Carrollton area and have never had such poor service at any of them. The lack of customer service and putting your dine in customers way behind To Go orders is unthinkable and so very poor business practices. A business should be able to handle dine in orders in a timely manner and not have all staff working on To Go orders and ignoring your dine in customers and making them wait for almost an hour to get food that truthfully only takes about 15 to 20 minutes to prepare and serve. Five tables with four or five people all left without receiving their order that day. So please take note that many of us residents of Carrollton will never go back to your business due to poor customer service. Go somewhere else to eat on Saturdays or Sundays if you want good customer service and caring service for dine in customers.

The menu covers all the things you want to eat. And some with a twist. I had the haystack, which stacked bottom to top was biscuits, hashbrowns. Eggs and gravy and topped with bacon crumbles. Which was very filling. Coffee was good and place was clean. Now the part they need to work on was service. They had one cook and one server for the whole restaurant, so don’t be in a hurry, for anything.

Great little cafe. My husband and I have been going to Mom’s for about 11 years. The same cook has been there the whole time. We love their breakfast and lunch. Today we had lunch. I like the Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, and fried okra. (sorry I had cut into steak before taking picture) Everything was great. This is one of my favorite go to places that is really close to home. They have a great breakfast and lunch menu. If you are looking for a neighborhood jewel, this is it.

Great little old school cafe. Food was great. Service was friendly and welcoming. Portions were perfectly size (not insane like some of these new places). Had the haystack and fruity pebbles French toast. I have to say the French toast was much better than I expected. It was sweet but not crazy sweet. Just a really great, unique taste. Highly recommend this place. Oh and did I mention this was the most reasonably priced meal I’ve had in months?
