Honestly, the interior was really nice, clean, and welcoming. The food, however, was not as good. I got the California Waffle, which is a waffle with blueberries, strawberries, and bananas on top. There was just something off with the taste of the waffle. The edges were a bit crispy and had a burnt taste, but that’s understandable. The middle also had an off taste. Overall, I guess the purpose of a restaurant is to have different kinds of foods that you wouldn’t have at home because you either can’t make them or you can’t make them as well as the chef. This was not the case here; some Bisquick waffle mix would’ve come out better. Maybe I got unlucky, who knows? Whatever the reason was, my waffle just didn’t taste good. Besides that, the interior is really good and the staff and service were phenomenal.

The food was delicious. We ordered the Good Morning Traveler. What a treat. It was the second day of outdoor dining after being closed for months because of COVID-19. Carlos seated us right away and was very attentive to anything that we may have needed. We also had a nice conversation with him. What a lovely man and a hard worker. I would have liked to have had real syrup for a griddle restaurant though, but we will definitely return.
