We went for dinner and found it to be a large open space with a bar along one wall, two TVs. They have a lot of beers on tap and the service was good. The manager/owner checked in on us with his nice Irish brogue. ☘️

This was a favorite place of mine since it was opened. We moved away in 2012 but twice a year we’re up north and patronized it. Yesterday, I wanted to have their ‘delicious’ French onion soup and was SO DISAPPOINTED. I asked the waitress what happened that it was so bland. My son ordered Irish Stew and I ordered wings, SO DISAPPOINTED again. Well I guess that last night was my last time to eat at Monaghans. It was a great time had with good but definitely it’s over.

We were surprised by the excellent mussels and lobster sauce appetizer. My shrimp and scallop entree was succulent and tasty. My wife’s salmon was grilled perfectly. We will return.
