Let me start by saying that the place is a high-end restaurant, you may get lucky and have an amazing view, it seems very popular for anniversaries and birthdays. I personally don’t know if I would come back, but it’s certainly nice for a celebration.

This is among the best rooftop views of Dallas you can get. A very high class place, Monarch embodies the best of what Dallas has to offer. It is not uncommon to run into celebrities here. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. The waiter gave us a genuine recommendation of what she thought was good wine, instead of just pointing at the most expensive bottle. The starters and entrees were delicious. The reason for the 4-star review is simply that the desserts were disappointing and did not live up to the standards of the rest of the food. I am a huge fan of sweets and desserts so this impacts me, however, if you don’t care for them, then this place is top notch. You can also walk to other rooftop bars from here, so it’s perfect for an evening/night out.

Awesome place to eat. Atmosphere was good. We started with the carpaccio. Dry aged ribeye was spot on. It was cooked perfect with an amazing crust. Wife table side flambe pasta and crab. It had a little kick and was delicious. We shared the asparagus side which was so tasty. The only knock was the toffee pudding cake with coconut ice cream. It was very average, no moist and ice cream tasted more like key lime ice cream. Would definitely go back.

First time here.. My boyfriend surprised me for my birthday. We sat in a booth by the window. 49th floor. Everything was Simply Amazing. From our drinks, to our food, the view and the dessert. Every thing came out hot and fresh and tasted amazing. The ambience is really nice. All the staff was really nice..

My experience here was great! I dined here for my friend’s birthday dinner. We were greeted with champagne. We arrived a little early to our reservation and still we were sat quickly. Our server and service was friendly and prompt. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. We had the short rib bolognese, lobster pasta, and the shrimp scampi. The bread was also very well. And, so were our drinks. I would recommend everyone experience this place.

Before I came, I thought there was a chance this place might not have that great food and just be popular for the view. I can assure you that that is not the case! The food really is top notch, as you’d expect from a place like this. The Spicy Rigatoni alla Vodka was delicious. It was so flavorful and the texture was phenomenal. There was even a slight crunch from what was on it. Truly a marvelous dish. The Shrimp Scampi Ravioli was great and had a nice touch of acid to it to make flavorful as well, but the Spicy Rigatoni alla Vodka was the better of the two. The Toffee Cake Pudding was baked nicely and was flavorful, but there might be better desserts you could get here. It was good but could be more exceptional. I also wasn’t keen on the passion fruit and coconut ice cream placed on it; I would’ve preferred maybe vanilla or something of the sort. I’d give the Rigatoni a 10/10, the Ravioli a 9/10, and the Toffee Cake a 8/10. Still all 8 or above and an average of 9! Overall though, this place is worth it. The setup is really nice and the setting is very cool. Even the seats are velvet and have a nice cushion and bring an upscale feel. I was worried this place may be overrated (for the hype) but it’s not. The 4.3 average rating is too low; it should be more like 4.7. Also, don’t worry about the portions being small. They’re rich and filling even if they don’t look like it. Have yourself a time and make the trip here!

Surprised my husband with a fancy romantic dinner to celebrate his birthday and Monarch did not disappoint. It is absolutely beautiful. Stunning from the moment you walk inside. Service is 10/10. I was hoping for window sitting, we were sat to the back but it was ok. They gave my husband a cute gesture for his birthday, a printed menu that says Happy Birthday Eli. Very thoughtful! Food is amazing! My husband ordered the Fire Roasted Lasagna and I ordered the King Salmon, delicious! Our experience was definitely 5 star!
