My husband and I ate at Moncho’s recently and were amazed at the hospitality shown by the owner, Michael. The place itself, while not large is cozy, comfortable and very clean. It felt more like we were at a friend’s or relative’s home than a café. The food was very good, my husband had the rice bowl with pork and alcapurrias. I had the empanadas which had a kind of sweet taste and were so good, the yucca fries were delicious. For dessert we had the guava pastry, they were so fresh and were kept warm which added to the deliciousness. A nice place to go with family or friends; they have carry out too.

Food taste pretty good , what I disliked how the plate is set up could use more rice and steak. Banana dumplings are ok but y’all should do it the traditional way around, soft in the middle and crispy on the outside. The only Way to get better is going to different Cuban and Puerto Rican restaurant around the city and collaborating. Wish y’all the best

Had been wanting some Caribbean food. This place popped up and had to try it.. it did not disappoint, the food is not too heavy and the flavors are there. It’s very family welcoming and the people that run it are super nice. Ordered the Jibarito, croquetas, maduros and of course the Cubano. I was definitely disappointed there was no quesitos or pasteles de Guava but I am assuming because of how good they are, they run out of them quickly. Will be coming back earlier to get a hold of some.

Great restaurant and delicious food. I went to this restaurant with my family and we could not be happier. The owner was very helpful explaining the menu and food was fresh and plenty. I would come back to this restaurant soon and happy to have a good Puerto Rican and Cuban restaurant in the area. Thank you.

Im so happy theirs finally an authentic, delicious and suburban, Caribbean/puerto Rican restaurant in the western suburbs. The food was great I ordered one of the rice bowls with black bean’s , tostones and the lechón I was very impressed, the rice was perfectly fluffy and properly seasoned, the black beans were saucy, tender with a bit of peppers and bay leafs, the tostones were thick and crispy with a side of garlic oil, the lechón was tender and juicy with thinly sliced onions seasoned to perfection. I definitely will be ordering more food from this up and coming establishment everything was really great
