Food is usually pretty decent. Just the characters behind the counter is were the real stars are. Almost every time I’ve been there to order the past 2 years it’s gone down hill. I know the young her always has this reverse psychology. Where she acts nice to you but she sneaks in little comments and jokes to customers like she’s close to them. It’s like take me order and let me go. I don’t need your comments. Really wish the old managers would come back. The new ones like to hide in the back and not deal with thier customers and or employees. This is what I call a circus in the middle of downtown.

OK, here’s the deal, I saw those bad reviews before eating here, but this was the only place open serving food. It’s about 1:35 AM on a weekday right now. As you can see in the photos the tomato and onions are fresh. The burger was good and bun was toasted. Fries were crips and good as well. Everything was fresh.

Anytime I get a certain cashier everything I order she cannot fulfill my request my husband is allergic to onions anytime I order a cheeseburger for him I always say no onions I’ve never had an issue she told me they stop doing that weeks ago funny I had just been in there two days prior and I got a cheeseburger with no onions. She told me I had to have everything on it or nothing on it that was my choice. She called over some other woman who confirmed it that’s a total joke. The last time I got hurt is my cashier there was something else we ordered that everybody else can do but she says we don’t do that. I do everything in my power to avoid this woman but when she’s the only one working there I don’t have a choice. It’s usually very late night when she’s working and all I want to do is spend my comp money and go home I’m not going to walk with her. The food is okay once again it’s a casino it’s not even a coffee shop it’s just counter service and go we’re sitting a few tables that are there that are never wiped down. I give it four stars I probably would have given it five if I didn’t deal with her. Everybody else that works there’s very friendly. And I rate things based on the environment like I’ve said before if you’re in a grab and go casino environment you’re not going to get five star food or dining. I would much rather eat this than something from a fast food restaurant. Very disappointed that their salads and their pre-wrapped sandwiches are made outside of the building now the chicken salad is made with the most disgusting rubbery chicken I’ve ever seen in my life. This is limited selections. They used to have the best salad they no longer carry that either. After 10:00 p.m. this is the only choice to eat at at the casino. All things considered it’s a four star

I usually get the chef salad, which is okay. But more times than not, onions have been added when I specifically asked for no onions. Once I didn’t even get cheese! And when I called the casino, they acted as if there was nothing they could do. I was just letting it be known that they almost always add onions when asked not to! Pretty pricey for the little amount of food you get to be messing it up. Last night I bought the kids chicken strip baskets. They said it tasted like fish. Ughh! And the strips were so small, they’re literally strips! As if they took a regular size strip and cut it in 2, if not 3! My suggestion is to get there early and eat at the buffet.

Liz who called my order out threw my to go container on the counter, watched it slide and let the top pop open and didn’t asked if I would like a bag for my to go container. I got my food with the top open and it looked delicious. I ate part of it and I’m very satisfied with the taste and amount just not the customer service I received.

we went there Thursday night. after waiting almost 2 hours in the buffet line we gave up (the line had hardly moved and it was reaching the 9 o’clock hour). we went to Mongo Bay hoping for quick service and it did NOT happen. we waited another hour! we could have just stayed in the buffet line… it was an unusually busy night and I usually have sympathy but there were people who ordered 20 minutes after us getting their food. it was an unorganized mess behind the counter. would not reccommend, just do the buffet.

We had the buffet the night before and it was horrible. Decided to try the grill today. Excellent Rueben basket for $7. Nicely toasted rye, generous meat – kraut – cheese, and delicious seasoned fries. Only odd thing is having to walk into another casino room to get your drinks

On March 26th 2018 my wife and I ate dinner at Mongo Bay Grill and we had ordered a prime rib sandwich already cut in half for you on a white small sub bun to split, It came with nice thick crispy fries, one pickle spear and au jus sauce for $8.50. Now at a premium price for that menu you think you’re going to get a nice thick piece of prime rib! Right? No you got a quarter inch thick piece of steak that’s what it tasted like that’s what it looked like it was even clearly grilled! Don’t get me wrong it tasted all right but if you were to give someone this without telling them what it is they would say a steak sandwich! At other casino restaurants between mn,wi,ia you get 3/4 inch to 1 inch thick large piece actual prime rib cut in front of you for a few bucks less. But please try it out for yourself different people have different expectations.
