Delicious food. Service can be slow when it’s busy. Convenient location with parking nearby. I’d like that they have unique Northern Thai cuisines that are not typically found in other Thai restaurants.

Tasty Thai dishes in Alameda! The place is well decorated. The foods mostly are Northern Thailand style. Their sausages are yummy with sweet and sour sauce along with fresh veggies. And the best one is Chicken Satay. We came here for birthday day dinner. Staffs are super friendly!

Outstanding Thai food served in a colorful, friendly setting on the quiet side of Southshore shopping center. Parking is a breeze for families with kids. Service is fast, knowledgeable, and friendly. The food itself is amazing on every level. Fresh ingredients, with healthy options for all diets. I ordered the seafood noodle soup with spicy Thai sausage and fish cakes as my appetizer. The family ordered chicken wings and papaya salad with sides of rice for everyone, and strawberry creme sodas for my older boy and me. What a feast! Cost to feed the entire family was $130 and change, including a fairly extravagant dessert for mom’s birthday. We highly recommend Monkey Thai for families who enjoy fine dining once in awhile but don’t want to spend excessively. 5 stars across the board. We will definitely be coming back!

Last time I came I got the Prawn Pad Thai. It was smacking!!! This time I went, I got the Papaya Salad Lao style with pickled crab, medium spicy. It was spicy alright!!! Very salty and wayyy too spicy to enjoy. And I usually like spicy food.

Stopped by Monkey Thai last night. The place was fairly busy and hopping. Good music, good energy good food. They offer two happy hour timeslots 3-6pm and 9-12 midnight. Signature drinks and appetizers are buy one get one. We got 4 apps, a couple drinks, some Tom Kha soup and Pad Thai. We went with mild spice.

I ate a cricket! Taste was great but I couldn’t get past feeling the legs in my mouth. Everyone else loved them. Everything else was really good too!

This place has excellent food. The service is a little slow. The servers kind of avoid eye contact and don’t check on you enough in my opinion. maybe a cultural thing? Clean safe place to enjoy a drink and a good Thai meal.

I live 35 miles away from this restaurant but I always eat here when I’m in the area. Food is really delicious. My favorite is the BBQ chicken, Crab Fried Rice and my wife loves the Pad Thai. We’ve tried other dishes too and all are delicious. Customer service is good and friendly staff.

Great looking location. Indoor and outdoor dining available. I have always enjoyed the curries here. My go to curry at any Thai restaurant is the red curry. The consistency of the curry is always the same and never too watery like some restaurants I’ve been to. Just a suggestion, if you get the fried egg rolls as an appetizer, request for the sauce that they serve with the bbq skewers (entree). The sauce amplified the flavor and was a really good combination. Good overall experience.

So, this place is in a great location in Alameda South Shore. It’s very easy to get to. The ambiance is great and they have a late happy hour with a good choice of appetizers and inexpensive drinks. However, I don’t want to go all Gordon Ramsay on you, I was not about the food quality. It was just ok and it felt lacking in flavor with a pre-cooked vibe going for it. I was expecting something more flavorful, tasty and spicy. One good point to note is the appetizers are large portions, so keep that in mind when ordering an entree. Is there such a thing as “Thai comfort food?”
