We were always thrilled to introduce people to these mouth-watering dishes (an evangelist mindset comes naturally when your mom and aunt are constantly cooking up a storm), and in 2014 we opened Monster Pho. Our authentic food and sweetheart staff quickly earned us a bunch of madly devoted monster evangelists. And even though Oakland is quite the shape shifter these days, we feel good knowing that our delicious monster noms keep providing big smiles and warm fuzzies for our Oaklandish family.

The food is four stars. But the novelty and service push it to five stars. The staffs are very friendly which is a stark difference from most pho places in which service is usually impersonal. One staff even teaches a little child how to operate the robot. That’s super cute. Like that a lot!

Wanted to find out what the hype was all about this place, so I stopped for a quick bite in Oakland. No wait during a weekday lunch for one. Fun and clean interior, order can be made through QR code on each table. You have to pay first and tip at the same time, which was a bit awkward for me.

The green interior of Pho restaurant is like an amusement park. A food runner robot served Pho. The thin noodles and light soup were easy to eat and tasty. The rice plate was also good. The only disappointment was the chicken wings, which seemed to be over-fried and dry. The staff are all very nice and I would come back.

The Pho was delicious and the egg rolls crispy and hardy. The only downside was the robot service. It’s cool and innovative but it takes away from the restaurant experience in my opinion (some people might like this). I would definitely go back tho for the amazing broth.

I have never dined in. Always takeout. I love this place. The owner remembers his patrons and treats me like an old friend. The food is delicious. I often get the vermicelli noodles with fried tofu. It’s good with shrimp too. So yummy.

We went for an early lunch on Saturday and there was no wait, food was delicious, and the staff was really friendly. They were so sweet with our little one, and even gave us a bowl and spoon so he could try some pho! What more could a parent want.
