I recently had my wedding reception dinner at the Newton location. From the very beginning the staff was wonderful and helpful. Which was even more important because my husband and I only gave them about 10 days notice. Even with the time restrictions they didn’t seem to have any problem with any requests that we made. They didn’t require us to close the menu and the manager was able to get us tablecloths from a banquet collection. The night before the manager allowed my mother and my best friend in to set the room how we wanted it to be. The day of the wedding the ENTIRE staff seemed very happy and willing to give us the best experience we could have. They really accomplished that. The food was excellent and the drinks were always full. My crowd can drink and nobody ever complained that they ran out of anything. From the wait staff to the bartenders and the cooks everything was truly fantastic. I can’t stress this enough. Everyone seemed to enjoy having us there and making our moment wonderful. I want to thank everyone that helped. Thank You!

We were in town for a Dr visit. The waitress was very attentive and wonderful. My husband had the chicken fried steak, and unfortunately his meat had a sour taste to it so he wasn’t able to finish his meal. But my catfish and daughters chicken strip tasted good and were served hot. The waitress got our bad meal comped. Not sure we’ll be returning though.

Manager was a prick, but the rest of the staff were very nice. Our waitress was awesome, her name was Chelsea. The food was pretty good, wouldn’t recommend their mashed potatoes though. We stopped here because a friend had left his lucky cap and he had called asked them to hang on to it. We decided we would eat here and I asked the manager about the hat and he gave me a crappy attitude and said he would check into. Never heard back from the manager. Asked our waitress and she knew exactly what I was talking about. I would definitely eat here again, but their manager needs to work on his people skills.

60 dollars for cold potatoes and a bland steak. Catfish was very good but our waitress was not friendly at all and i ordered a hurricane ans have no idea what i got but it was nasty. Common sense tells you if only a few bites are eaten and did not want a to go box that something is wrong but nope she never even asked how things were or if we needed any thing. Would of only gave one star but the catfish was on point.. sad we heard such great things about this place drove from Junction and was so disappointed. Wont be back

My Daughter and Son-n-law took my wife and I out to Montana Mike’s for my 50th Birthday and this was at 2:00pm on 8/21/2015. We had to holler to get seated for starters and the lady acted as though we bothered her. There were only two customers seated so we thought service would be efficient and be would have a great meal with not a lot of commotion but were we wrong. This place appears to need to attention in the Management area. My steak (Filet Mignon) was way overcooked and it took over 20 minutes just to get our meal and at this time we were the only people in the steakhouse. After my family had finished eating I stood up and asked to speak with the Manager. The waitress said he was the one cooking the steak which I still had not received. Something better happen to this store or it will not make it here in Newton. Very bad service and management results in failure.

The reasturant feels dirty. The staff is nice, but i recommend sitting as far away from the kitchen as possible. Those girls just stand in there and gossip insanely loud. Ruins the meal. Food is decent, but dont expect it to be amazing. Their margaritas are awesome though.

While the steak was cooked right the grill gave it a funky flavor. The manager did have another one cooked for me. It still had that same flavor. You only get 1/2 baked sweet potato.

I had my wedding reception at this location. Montana Mike’s really went above and beyond accommodating our reception, and the staff actually gave my wife and I a standing ovation as soon as we walked in. It was very welcoming and not only were they on top of serving a large event like that but they were very professional. I strongly recommend Montana Mike’s in Newton KS!

Tried MMs after reading the so-so reviews. Would def come back. Sat at the bar; two of us. Bartender, Ernie, was great. Food was great. Filet and Sirloin were cooked perfectly. Good job guys!

Well, this goes back four to five years ago. I walked in and sat at the bar. The place was not busy. I sat there for approximately 45 minutes and the bar tender never even looked at me , let alone ask if he could get me a drink. I as for the management, bar tender said he was unavailable. I complain to bartender. He just looked at me like, are you finished. I looked in the eye and said, go F yourself and you are a stupid ass jurk. Walked out and never been back. I might go back again, since I’m sure that jurk could not still be there, I hope. If, he is, I’ll sit at a table.
