Food is Italian American but much better than Olive Garden. We have been going for years and the service and food are consistently good. Used to be a bit more authentic and bigger portions. Still overall good. The interior is very dated but so is the real Italy 🙂 never been when there is a crowd so service was always prompt.

This wonderful diamond in the rough. It truly is much more than just dining establishment. It is a staple of true Italian cooking. It has been in this neighborhood for over 40 years. It is the oldest Italian restaurant in all of Lynchburg. Although when you eat here you’ll be thinking you’re actually dining in Italy instead of in America because it is that authentic.

Great little hole in the wall. The restaurant was pretty empty at 6pm. But we ordered two pizzas, and they were delicious. The pizza was baked expertly. The server was very attentive, but had a chuckle when one of our party wanted to drink more of the soda in his glass before she refilled it. Overall a fun little restaurant.

Food was terrible. No way around it. I ordered the linguine primavera and it was like a noddle soup. The Alfredo sauce was so thin it was disgusting. In our group of around 15 three sent food back. Others said after that the pizza is the only good thing there. They brought “garlic knots” to start with, no garlic, just barely cooked bread with a little butter on it. Great disappointment from what it used to be. The salad was the only good thing about the meal.

We were part of a group of 30+. While my wife’s dish and my dish were good, my brother in laws sandwich was not good. The service was excellent except the owner was not concerned when told his food was not edible. I heard no other complaints about the food.

Sorry I didn’t get a photo to show what a pathetic meal we got the other night. We ordered a grilled shrimp salad, a spinach Cannelloni and a Calzone. The Calzone was excellent with a good sauce and the cannelloni was ok , kind of bland tasting, and it seemed it was sitting around for a while, then reheated. The shrimp salad was disgusting…lettuce, 3 cherry tomatoes, 2 chunks of cucumber, all covered with tiny extremely salty shrimps….the kind that comes straight out of a can. The salad was described as a ‘Grilled Shrimp Salad’….nothing was grilled about this salad. Finally as the last straw, with 3 entrees the meal came with one 5″ piece of stale bread. Very disappointing.

the calzone comes on a platter. the meatball hoagie is very good. our waitress was amazing! we were a large group but she was organized and kept food coming out and got every order right and to the right person. kudos!
