Food is pretty damn good . Especially the stew chicken. The jerk chicken could’ve cooked a bit more and the curry could use some work. The curry chicken needs flavor. Sometimes, the lady doesn’t listen much. I asked for a chicken patty and got beef. I don’t eat beef !!

The food here is just so tasty and well seasoned. The jerk chicken is the best and everything here is just delicious. My favorite dish is the oxtail of course and I also book many events here. Let me end this review by saying you cannot go there without trying their fried Chicken. Love Montego Bay Restaurant.!!!

Great place to eat until my friends son saw a roach crawling on the wall. Theee was a young girl cutting up meat where I can see it, and then she went way in the back, I’m sorry but I want to see when my food is being handled.

Eta: Just ordered from there today(7/22) using grubhub. Ordered a large stewed chicken and only got one large piece and two smaller pieces of chicken.

This restaurant caters to an American pallette. If you’re looking for authenticity, this aint it. Sauce for jerk chicken is more like ketchup. Jerk chicken is more like grilled.

I couldn’t be more disappointed. My other half (she’s from the islands) and I have been going there since they opened. It use to be the only place that we would go for oxtail. It was fantastic and fairly priced. The ladies that worked there were fantastic as well. We had not been there since the beginning of covid because of the obvious restrictions. Well first off, the prices were much much higher (19.95 for a medium and 21.95 for large) and the portions of oxtail in comparison to the mound of rice is terrible. The oxtail itself were small and little pieces like it was the end of the batch. We spent 45.00 for a bunch of rice. I’m writing this review in hopes that they will actually read it and reevaluate what they are doing. Like I said, they use to be very good.

As a Jamaican , I am proud to go in and order my meals ,the lady that served me was awesome. She recommended the brown stew chicken and it was delish!!!! Also got me some oxtail (yes oxtail is expensive don’t buy it if you can’t afford it ,they not running a charity they doing business) and I had no complain, did I mention the ackee and saltfish. Belly full!!!
