I recently visited Monterey Court in my neighborhood, and it was an amazing experience! This unique American locale has a full bar and roomy patio, and regularly features live music. I had the pleasure of seeing Larry & Joe, presented by KXCI, and it was truly unforgettable.

This was my first time here so I had no expectations. The food and drinks were good and reasonably priced! I like it when a restaurant makes their own salad dressing. I had the Cesar salad with chicken and really liked it! The service was good and the bathroom was clean. The crowd was good, the band was good and we even danced! I would say this was a successful night out. In fact I want to go back! I will say the one drawback was parking…only a few spaces on the property and I wasn’t hip about parking on the side street or the other designated area. I didn’t have any issues so it worked it. Next time I may Uber and indulge in more cocktails. Overall a good experience and fun night out with love music!

Outstanding intimate music venue. Good food and drink. Excellent adaptive reuse of an old motel. Well worth visiting!

It’s one of my favorite venues! The dance floor is new and enlarged. The staff is friendly and the food is good. Drinks are also good. Reservations are recommended as seats are reserved towards the stage. The seating is outdoors with a canopy for shade and/or wind. The place is a hotel with small retail shops around the venue. Cute place and easy to find!

The food is decent but service varies. My issue with Monterey Court is the militaristic style with which they generate revenue. They charge a premium for band cover charges ( Relative to other Tucson venues) and double down by attempting to force feed you to increase revenue. You may be harassed for the failure to spend additional money. My friend was accused of under spending by a staff member. This happened even though a tip of 20$ was provided on a 20$ check. Yes, a 100% tip. The staff member remarked that the business did not benefit from her generosity. We know you are having issues propping up sales to make the place palatable to potential buyers. That said, your current strategy is pissing people off. Yes, Monterey Court is a still a bright spot in a questionable neighborhood. Even so, you need figure out a way to grow that doesn’t involve the use of feeding tubes. Former regular.

I visited Monterey Court the other night for a live band perform outside in the court yard. It is a really cute place that even though has seating outside they have covered areas, nice shady trees, and misters. There are quite a few local artists that have studios with gorgeous and eclectic artwork for purchase. It was a wonderful way to spend the evening listening to great music and looking at art. The menu has gluten free options available and a few vegan choices too. I didn’t have dinner but did enjoy some strawberry lemonade which was home made and delicious! Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice outdoor spot to sit and support local artists in the process.

Absolutely fantastic place. We went specifically to see the awesome Mark Insley and we’re blown away by whole experience. Had a fantastic meal with a great margarita (or two). We will now be making this a regular haunt during our winters in Tucson. Special shout out to our server Zack who was incredible despite being so busy

Monterey Court is an iconic part of Tucson’s Miracle Mile revitalization. This is no generic restaurant where you’ll occasionally find a new band — the Monty embraces everything that’s special about live music. This former motor court has been crafted into an eclectic series of shops/gallery studios and a modern café and listening space, with artists taking the stage throughout the week. I’ve been to two of the “Virginia Cannon Presents” shows (brunch and a Thurs. evening) and was extremely impressed with the venue’s efforts to highlight local performers and present a range of genres. The singer/songwriter showcase oozed talent, with Bryan Russell-Lowe, Nick Shelby, and Laura StonethePoet in round one and Derdog, Jon Frailey, and Bobby Ronstadt in round two, followed by the Freddy Parish Trio. And the brunch sets offer everything from featured artists to young artists launching their careers before your eyes. The Monty is a gem, offering the freshest music you’ll find in the whole city!

It was a lot of fun overall! They seemed understaffed so the service was a bit slow. The live music helps a lot too
