The food was ok not bad but for the price you could get better somewhere else. Waitstaff was… too busy sitting around up front talking and laughing to check on their 5 attended tables. People getting their own to go boxes and had to leave the table and ask for service, they drop the food and ticket and never come back! Terrible service.

This place brings back so many good memories from my childhood. My mom, my grandparents, and I used to frequent a location they had in Houston more than 30 years ago. It closed and we had no idea they still had a location oprn. By pure chance my mom stumbled upon this one; it’s the only one left and it has been here for 56 years. We planned this outing and drove nearly 2 hours just for supper. It was everything we remembered and hoped it would be. This time though my 7 children were with us. It was my daughter’s 11 birthday. More great memories. I got the Monterey deluxe. Great food. We’ll definitely be making the trip again. Thank you for keeping this location open! Highly recommend.

I remember this used to be a nice place, in the 80s. Now the waitress drops food bringing it to a customer, but doesn’t bother to pick it up or clean it up and gets stepped on by other customers.

VERY unprofessional, we had a party of about 8, for starters the waitress we had started the service off with an attitude. My wife was trying to figure out what she wanted to drink and the waitress continued to tap her shoulder till she told her what she wanted. Ordered a margarita (which was half decent) and it was a little on the sour side. I’m not a rude guy but when I brought it up to my waitress she seemed pretty aggravated. She basically told me I’ll have to keep it cause they never had a complaint before (not a problem) well the owner comes out and she was VERY rude about the fact that I didn’t want the drink. Out of the 28 years I been on this planet this is my FIRST time to EVER leave a company a review let alone a bad one.

Was in the area decided to stop in for an early dinner with the family. Upon arriving, there was a distinct sewage smell at the front, but we walked on by and sat in the back. Food was ok. Nothing to write home about. About halfway through dinner, I noticed a massive cockroach crawling across the wall behind our table. I jumped up and we grabbed the baby and left. Probably won’t return unless we hear of some kind of incredible changes.
