We were in town visiting family and took a day trip over to Mt. Airy and wanted Mexican food. This place ended up being great! We enjoyed it so much we went back a few days later after visiting Hanging Rock State Park. I would highly recommend if you’re near by. Food was excellent and the service is great. Very nice and super fast both times we went.

We used to love coming here but it’s definitely gone downhill. Visited recently and were served basically lunch portions at dinner. Had to ask for silverware and chips and salsa. And they weren’t understaffed or busy. Have a lot of great memories here but we won’t be returning sadly.

If this is the authentic Mexican food that everyone was talking about and preaching on the internet, then I’m very disappointed. I came from Europe and I had hopes of trying some true Mexican food, however I was met with bland and unseasoned food with no distinct flavour. I had burrito, tacos, guacamole and vegetarian dish with piña colada. Burrito was very basic and lacked Mexican flavour but it filled me up nicely, the tacos lacked vegetable variety and guacamole was unseasoned so we had to squeeze some lemon juice on it (from our drinks). Pina colada was good tho, so thumbs up.

Nice looking restaurant was first choice on my Google search so I went and ordered the Burrito Supreme with a side of beans and sweet tea. The complimentary chips and salsa arrived and the salsa was too tame. The refrieds were watery and bland so it took a lot of salt and pepper plus house hot sauce. The burritos were good, one of ground beef and the other was shredded chicken. Both were topped with guacamole, sour cream, lettuce and a slice of tomato. The rice was beside the burritos and was good. The outstanding star of the show, and the only reason to get 4 stars instead of 3, was the hot sauce made there and brought to my table in a squeeze bottle. That sauce brought some serious heat and flavor. Kudos. I did not have room to try the flan.

This is honestly the best Mexican food I’ve had outside of Mexico, especially the fresh flour tortillas. The staff was incredibly nice, and the food was honestly incredible. I ate here once a few years ago and was not impressed but they must have new management or new kitchen staff or something because the food was off the chain.

My daughter went tonight with friends and asked for the same dish she has ordered many times and tonight was told NO they cant do any changes Like that even when she explained she couldn’t eat flour tortillas and they have made her dish before without issue..

I’ve eaten here several times with my girlfriend and we’ve never had a bad experience. We can never decide on what we want to eat because we want to try everything. Great flavor, the micheladas are the best, and the service is good as well. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices, you will not be disappointed.

This place was actually surprisingly very good. The chips and salsa came almost immediately when we sat down, and the waiter got out drink orders. After a few minutes of looking over the menu, we got our food ordered and another plate of chips arrived. The food didn’t take long and we were not disappointed! I got a huge burrito for about $10! And for that one person who just wants a burger and fries, well they’ve got that too! Great food at a great price.

Fantastic restaurant all around. The portion sizes are more than what you pay for and the food is always spectacular. Excellent service from the staff. Everyone is polite and personable. The margaritas are great. I’ve never been to Monterreys and been disappointed. If you are ever in Greensboro this should be your first place you should go for food.
