I am 67 years old and today I received the WORST service I have ever received at any place of business. Our waiter was extremely rude from the get go. The straw that broke the camel’s back was when he spilled greasy sauce from my friends plate on the floor while throwing it down in front of her. Instead of cleaning it up, he wiped it with his shoe spreading the grease. When she asked him was he going to mop it up, he told her she was in her seat and it wasn’t in her way. She tried to explain to him that it was slippery and someone could step in it and fall, and he got extremely rude. There’s much more I could add here but I would have to write s book. He also overcharged my friend by $4 saying that she added meat to her burrito, when in fact, she asked for a veggie burrito and the menu clearly said choose from beef, pork, or chicken for $6.99. This was the third time in a row we have dined there and he has been so rude to us. We asked to talk to the manager. Unfortunately, he is the manager. Our little town doesn’t have many options to eat out, but we will not be going back while this manager is there.

We decided to try this place based on numerous great reviews. We ate on the patio since it was such a beautiful evening. Our server was so nice & patient with my daughter, who wanted to practice her Spanish! He was so friendly, fun & attentive. Each of us tried something different & we all enjoyed our dishes. I had a tamale & cheese enchilada & both were very good. My refried beans & rice were super tasty. We’ll be back for sure. This place has a great vibe.

Assume! Food is great at a decent price. The atmosphere wasn’t that great for me only because we had an obnoxious mother instigating her young child in the booth next to us which unfortunately was beyond the restaurants control. But I highly recommend this restaurant.

Took my family out to lunch, horrible service! We should’ve known it was gonna be bad as soon as we walked in, there was no one to seat us we waited about 10 minutes then seated ourself the big table beside us had drinks and chips but I guess they finally had enough of the terrible service and left. Took over 15 minutes to get drinks then didn’t bring all of them we tried getting his attention but he just kept talking to other works or being on his phone. We didn’t get to ordering our food until 25+ minutes in to being there. Once we ordered we waiting 20-25 minutes for the food which didn’t come out right just meat and cheese shouldn’t be that hard to understand. It had no flavor and was clearly thrown together. Most was over cooked and falling apart. Then at the end we had some in cash and the other on card while paying he got an attitude and demanded a tip before even seeing if we left anything on the table then gave us a dirty look bc of how much the tips was. I’m sorry but you didn’t even deserve the tip you got and maybe without demanding a tip you’d get more. This place needs to be shut down! Don’t waste your money or your time ! Rude staff that doesn’t care about customers and horrible food & service !!!

Have eaten at Monterrey’s before & it is usually good.This night I ordered a Taco Salad . It was good until I got down to the hamburger meat. It was sitting in a pool of grease. I guess they forgot to drain it.
