Monty’s is a neighborhood favorite. I became aware of it a few years ago and keep it in my regular rotation of places to go for good food, reasonable prices and friendly staff. I started coming to Monty’s because of the incredibly ample size of the ice cream cones! As I spent more time, I liked the variety of options in the menu and have always enjoyed my meals. Great place to bring friends and family.

I love that Monty’s has been around for so long. It adds to the wonderful feel of the area. The ice cream is always a huge hit. Great soft serve and very large portions! I’m not a fan of the food menu. Seems to be low quality and small portions. But otherwise, I am a fan of Monty’s!

It’s a perfect little diner. Been coming here since I was a kid and since that time, it has gone through a few owners but the food has never changed. It’s tradition to have a soft-serve ice cream after lunch or dinner everytime as well! Good prices, good people, good times.

The food here is really good, in regards to the price to taste, you’re paying similar to waffle house but getting IHOP quality. Out of 5 meals between my family and myself, I only had a complaint about my Reuben having about a non existent amount of sauerkraut on it.

It’s been over 20 years since I discovered this diamond in the rough and nearly as long since my last visit. Yesterday however, I had the pleasure of returning and taking my sister for her first visit. Monty’s is still amazing! The atmosphere, service, food, price, ice cream are all perfect. My sister ordered the grilled cheese and I the hamburger, which is huge, both served with fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious! We couldn’t leave though without dessert. We ordered a small twist cone, also huge, and a chocolate malt milkshake. Again, perfect and delicious! I will definitely no longer be a stranger. Thank you, Monty’s Penguin!
