We traveled from Richlands Virginia to the Hungry Mother Park Festival. Food trucks were limited so we drove to Marion Virginia and had beer and brick oven pizza at the Moon Dog resturant. The atmosphere was spacious and airy. The food was delicious. And if you like beer they have an entire draft beer wall of domestic, imported, and craft beers. It’s really a wonderful place to go if your in Marion Virginia. A patron of the restaurant recommended the Philly steak sandwich. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Food: We went for lunch special: lasagna. It was cold. Believed to be warmed up in microwave. Hamburger buns were so hard the crunched and broke while biting into them. Only cheese available was American.

I can vouch that this used to be a very good place to dine at, but lately that has been going downhill. Today I ordered a turkey sub from their establishment. Got home and found out that it only had two anemic slices of turkey on it. I went back to the store to request them to add a couple more pieces. The last thing I expected was an argument from management. But that’s exactly what it came down to. She refused to replace the sub or add any additional meat – claiming that is the amount of turkey that was called for. Absolutely insulting…

First time for me, second time for my husband. We are from out of town and decided to stop here for dinner at 7pm, mind you it’s mother’s day, place says closes at 9pm. We sat and waited 10 mins for our poor waitress to come give us a menu, because she is doing the serving and tap by herself, now there are 3 tables and a few at the bar…she took our drink and food order, brought us our waters but not our drinks until later. We could understand because she was taking care of other things…but it did get a little frustrating watching her serve everyone else at the bar and forgetting my drink that was sitting there. Food was good, but almost 10 mins later (8pm by the time we got our food) she asked us if we were ordering anything else or could she bring our check. While we ate, a few other people came in and she told them that the place was closing …I dislike posting negatives as she was friendly and stressed for a good reason, I want them to do better by having more waiters.

Stopped by at this gem of a restaurant, while on a road trip from Austin Tx to Farmington CT. Food only 4 stars was our problem as we reached there 8:45pm & kitchen n oven was closed. We didn’t have much choice, but so thankful that v got to eat. Got a special sangria made at the end. Was so relaxing Staff was awesome, they where having game night plus live music…. Gr8 Ambiance… gr8 hospitality ❤️

Had Christie as a waitress on Friday night last week. Every body posts highly of her that I didn’t think much of it when she introduced herself. There was another girl there to. I’m only giving 5 stars because the other girl was running her tail off and because the management was the one actually working my table. I saw my actual waitress once and that was to grab my tip. Ridiculous. Props to the management for trying there best.

Was there at the Marion location after a concert for the first time. I was shocked to see how the “manager” was yelling across the restaurant floor at a customer. If she had a problem with the customer she should’ve walked to the table and spoke to them in a respectful manner and tried to resolve the situation. Very rude and frustrating to have to deal with as a customer. Manager should be written up for her handling (or lack of) of the situation. Won’t spend my time or money there.
