My hubby and I enjoyed having breakfast at a local joint in the Bitterroot Valley. Not a fancy place but thats totally okay. What is important is service and the food. The waitress was fast and efficient and when I mentioned that my hubby and I wanted to split a 4 egg omelet, the cook was kind enough to have our omelet and even our side of French toast “split” nicely (without me asking). It was a nice surprise and more than enough food for us seniors watching our food intake. Ask for their special jam…very yummy. Prices were very reasonable. We will definitely return.

First time stopping here & torn between impressed & not so impressed. Friendly waitress for sure, though she seemed a little standoffish. My boyfriend had coffee & said it tasted more like weak green tea than coffee; also I don’t know that I’ve seen weaker coffee in a long while –you shouldn’t be able to see through the carafe! I had Mountain Dew & it was weak as well; their syrup mix might be off. Ordered a cheeseburger & tots for my three-year-old, I had a McMoon burger with tots, & my boyfriend had the monster-sized breakfast burrito covered in green sauce. The tots were crispy to perfection. But both burgers were mostly raw inside –I paid $11 for a burger I could only eat the bun of! And who feeds a child raw meat? Granted, I didn’t order the burgers well done & I didn’t send them back, but they should at least come to the table not dripping blood down the outside of the bun! At least our dog had a great meal when we got home! The boyfriend raved about the burrito, though, & wants to go back to try a few other items on the menu. Overall my experience wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good, either. It was mostly disappointing.

This is a great little restaurant for breakfast and lunch. It is small and located right next to the local grocery store. Nicole is the owner and cook. Everything she makes is homemade. They serve hot syrup for your pancakes or French toast. This place is worth your time to visit

Had a fantastic experience at our first of hopefully many visits to this sweet place!! Waitress was awesome, the atmosphere is calm and happy, and the food is REAL FOOD!!!! (Prices aren’t even high, it’s crazy!) You know, when someone puts love and care into fresh ingredients, it’s just BETTER!!!! Loved the Moondance and we’re very glad it’s making greatness available to the local area!!!

The Moondance Café is the best eatery in the Bitterroot Valley and possibly all of western Montana. Excellent food, excellent service, large portions, all at a reasonable price. The staff are always friendly and truly make you feel like they enjoy what they do.
