Very nice place to eat. I love the 1950s theme. As someone who loves to play the video game Fallout it kept reminding me of the game. The food is really good. I had the pork sirloin which was cooked to perfection it was very well seasoned and tender. They have some classic style soft drinks which I didn’t try because I just like sweet tea which was really good by the way. they actually have freshly made potato chips. I loved the decor and the 50s music. As I was leaving I noticed they actually deliver and have a drive-thru.

I have lived in Marion my entire life, and sadly have only eaten here like 2 times before today. I regret those missed opportunities! The food was delicious especially the Chili Cheese Fries, the service was fast and friendly, and the Mint Chocolate Chip shake was phenomenal! You definitely don’t want to miss this place if you are in the area! Also the server Maddie was super nice.

Oh my goodness this place was delicious. Not only was it good it wasn’t expensive. I enjoyed a burger which was juicy and full of flavor. My husband enjoyed an open faced roast beef that was succulent and mashed potatoes covered in gravy. The kids enjoyed their burgers and do it beer served in a frosted mug. We will go again.

We absolutely loved Moon doggy’s Classic Diner & Soda Fountain. This place looks like a real 50’s classic diner and looks very nice and attractive on the inside. They served our family some of the best sirloin steaks that we have eaten lately. All the food was perfect. The only thing I didn’t think was perfect was the ranch salad dressing that is on their salad bar. The whole salad was great however the ranch taste bitter and was a little sour tasting. It definitely wasn’t homemade or Hidden Valley Ranch. The server was very friendly and was very helpful. She didn’t make any mistakes on our orders or anything. She delivered our food in a timely fashion and was very hot and fresh. Everything was seasoned just right. The price of sirloin steak fries and salad is very affordable and reasonable. They rung our order up in a timely fashion and correctly. We had a great visit and will be back again.

The food was pretty good and the prices were pretty decent. My burger was really good and not overcooked, which a lot of these diners usually do. The atmosphere was really fun and they played good music. The only bad thing is that their juke box didn’t work, was kind of a bummer.

This was one of my daddy’s favorite places to go before he passed away! However, when I went recently, the food and service both have gone downhill. The staff isn’t rude but they don’t engage at all. This is a 50’s style diner in the south. It’s not the place for you if you aren’t a people person.

Good food and a great atmosphere with a lot of 50s nostalgia. A lot of times the owner would even come out make to sure your dining experience was the best it could be. it’s a shame that this place will soon be no more as it is slated to be closed very soon. Over the past 17 years, Joe has certainly had an impact on all and the customers he served in the small town of Marion. We’re all going to miss moondoggy’s.

I loved the way place was decorated. Food was good but not really anything special. The service was horrible. The waitress had Had messed up on another tables drink and said a bad word. Then I had to go find her to get a refill on a drink. We waited for our ticket but decided to go on to the register to pay. Told the girl at the register I was disappointed in the service. She said sorry but wasn’t really concerned. I won’t go back.
