Had a hankering for some Texas-style brisket and this sounded good. On the plus – the young lady who welcomed me and prepared my plate was great. She was enthusiastic and efficient. Green beans were hot and tasty, with just the right amount of firmness, not soft. Fries were straight from the fryer and were quite good. Unfortunately, what could be better was the brisket. The quantity of meat was great, but the meat was a bit dry and with not quite enough fat. It is hard to keep brisket warm without drying out, so it may have been keeping warm too long. I will probably go back another time, though next time for the pork.

Stopped in here today before storm blew us away. This was some dang good finger lickin BBQ. I had baked beans and green beans. I liked everything I had on the plate. Next time I’ll get the plate not just the sandwich, I needed more for later

A little on the pricy side, but the food was delicious! Plenty of hot sauces and barbeque sauces to choose from, and a condiment bar as well. Really inviting and clean, with great accomodations and great staff.

Food: We ordered brisket and chicken. Brisket was sort of dry, but the chicken was less dry. Chicken was well seasoned, without the BBQ sauces. We used sauces for the brisket, and they were tasty. Food was not hot, but it was warm.

I love the brisket and the Mac and cheese. Very quick service and the employees are always very nice. I would recommend going during the typical hours around mealtimes. This is when the food is freshest. I went once during an off-peak time and my brisket was a little dry. It was still good, just not the normal perfection I’m used to while going here. One of the better BBQ joints in Gainesville.

I have been there twice. The Turkey is the best I have ever had.I have no problem with the food. Everything was great! The problem I have is, one employee. All the others are great! We moved to North Georgia a couple of years ago from North Texas. We have sorely missed beef BBQ. When we heard Moonies had opened up here in Gainesville, my family and I immediately drove over here to try out the food. I was not disappointed!!! Great tasting brisket and sausage! Not only was the food great, the place is immaculate and the staff extremely friendly.

Please keep in mind this is about the price increase ONLY!! When I moved to North Georgia a year ago this was my staple for BBQ in this area – price was a little high but worth it for good BBQ. The food has always been quality as well as the sides. The staff has always been nice and easy to deal with.
