I haven’t been to Moonlite BBQ in about 15yrs, but it’s always been a past favorite of mine. Some of the best bbq around in my opinion. We went for the lunch buffet and it was EXACTLY what I remembered. Mutton, pork, brisket, all the fixins, salad bar, dessert, and burgoo!! You can’t beat it for almost $16/person. Their Mutton is my all time favorite and it was sooo good! I definitely ate my $’s worth LOL. Almost got a slice of their chocolate pecan pie, but I was miserably full. Still one of my favorite bbq places.

It’s always a good time at Moonlite BBQ. The food on the buffet is always hot, fresh and ready. There’s always plenty of selections to choose from. This is important with kids so you don’t have to entertain them until your food comes. There’s always at least 5 meats to choose from and a huge selection of vegetables and sides. The desserts and cobblers are delicious. Lunch buffet is $15 for an adult. Kids eat free on Mondays, under 3 is always free and other days kids are 1/2 off. We just moved here this year and already been four times and see us coming back more over the years.

This is the first BBQ place within an hour of me that I’d consider taking my parents to. They’re a couple of BBQ snobs from central Kansas… They know their stuff. Probably some of the better mutton I’ve had can be found here. The buffet met expectations, plus a little. I enjoyed their broccoli cheese and the macaroni. Not too shabby. This place left me convinced that a little more burgoo in the world would probably go a long way. The staff was super and the atmosphere was great. It’s a huge facility with tons of seating. Blackberry cobbler to finish things off was a nice touch. They have a small store and “To Go” shop for a quick pickup. I look forward to the next visit.

Come for the meats, stay for the sides. The lunch buffet will have you wanting for some more meat options but the sides are sure to satisfy your needs. For a few more bucks the dinner buffet has some more meat options that make it a bit more satisfying.

Me and my sister and her daughter was at moonlight barbecue yesterday afternoon for lunch. We go often to eat there. The service was good so was the food but one issue I have is that you had shredded your mutton I do not care for it I prefer it to be sliced and not shredded. Overall everything else is great like always. Thank you so much.
