Food is amazing, atmosphere depends on your taste, it can get a bit loud and crowded, but the space itself looks great.

Initially went in to try their Blackened Catfish, but I don’t like grits or crawfish or Brussels sprouts. Which this dish included. So I opted out for their New York Strip. One Word! Yummy. Cooked medium well and it was delicious. I’m not a fan of mashed potatoes, but the Yukon mashed potatoes were good! Daughter got Pork chop and hubby got the Chicken sandwich. They were very pleased w/their choices. Our waiter (He) was attentive and great! Wait time was 35 minutes, so we sat in the patio instead, because their was no wait. For obvious reasons the temperature was 103 outside. However they had swamp cooler’s throughout to keep the temperature comfortable. Overall ambiance is really great. I noticed a few Bar areas and maybe a party room to reserve out as well. There is a parking lot next door, that you need to pay for. That was the only downside.

Best BBQ! The ribs were falling off the bone and perfectly seasoned. We got the hot honey wings as well which were amazing! The service is superb! The food was off the charts good! The only thing is that it gets busy, so prepare to wait or make a reservation.

I had the blackened catfish, and it was amazing. The texture of the fish was perfect. The crawfish tails were very flavorful. This tasted like some real Louisiana Cajun food The star of the show or the grits. I’m not sure what they put in these grits, but they were the best grits I ever had in my life. Although this place is very popular the wait time for me and my family of four was only 10 minutes. I will definitely be back again. The blackened catfish meal was so good. I don’t know if I can go there and not get that.

We finally had the opportunity to stop by. The last time we were in Austin, we tried to stop by for the Sunday brunch but the line was too long and we had other plans. We weren’t able to partake in the Sunday brunch on this visit either, but we did have the opportunity to have dinner. As always, it was super crowded, but we only had a 30-minute wait. Once we did get seated, everything was smooth sailing from there. Our waitress Brooke was absolutely wonderful. She made some great recommendations and was very attentive. She definitely made our visit a pleasant experience.

Great spot and we later found out is the oldest building in Austin! The pimento dip was really good and service was excellent. Chicken-fried steak could’ve been a bit better (sauce wasn’t very hot and started to thicken too much) but the potatoes were delicious!

This is a great place for lunch or causal dinner – stop after being at the convention center all day. Great for groups as a casual establishment. I had the chicken and waffles – it’s honestly enough to share with someone! Portions are large.

Sunday brunch and bourbon slushiest are the best! – this place had a great selection of food and when is busy you can wait by a second bar and have full service there as well. Friendly staff and delicious food. Conveniently located near Rainey street and Hilton Austin.
