Great burgers and fries at Mooyah in Athens, Texas. I have been eating lunch here for over a year and have not had any complaints. The restaurant is clean, has good service, and the food is fresh.

While it’s good food, it’s VERY overpriced. The only reason for going here over Whataburger is that your dog can sit with you outdoors in the shade. Everything was more expensive than it should have been. They charged over five dollars for just a patty by itself for our pups, no bun, no cheese, just a single patty. Ridiculous. The shake was just meh, especially for the price. I’d give it a pass unless you’ve got to eat with your pups on a hot day.

It was ok, the service is nice the staff is cool. The shake was nothing special and it kind of tasted like it came from a premixed machine. The burgers are thick but not that flavorful. The fries though are delicious, obviously fresh made and cut right there in the store. It was ok, kind of meh, nothing that special but decent.

Having moved from dfw, we were so excited to see this place in Athens. Our excitement stopped abruptly when the service here was so bad. We won’t go back. Young kids who don’t care if you bacon cheeseburger has cheese or bacon. In their defense, they brought us fresh bacon… after the burger was eaten. One tip – change the grease in the frier every now and then.

Above average burgers, large condiment selection along the lines of the Five Guys chain. A bit more expensive than McDonalds or Burger King. but much better burgers. Price wise, I myself wouldn’t bother to bring the kids.

After we ordered went to make drinks both teas were unsweet i asked the girl at the counter if they had sweet tea back there for the drive thru she said no she would remake the tea. Took her 15 min to remake tea. Once we got our food my burger was missing the ranch and avocado so i had to take it back up there so they could fix it. Food was cold and fries were to salty. Not a good experience. Ended up getting our tea when we were almost done eating. Not worth the $25 we spent on 2 burgers and fries. Wont be coming back.
