Our specialty is Jersey style, thin crust pizza, served up in Downeast Maine! We’ve spent years perfecting our dough recipe and the secret, of course, is in our sauce. Our cheese of choice is Bacio’s whole milk mozzarella. We hand spin and stretch each pizza pie, then bake it in a very, very hot deck oven. All pizzas are 14 round. Come check us out.

I am a SUPER picky pizza person and this is, by far, the BEST pizza I have EVER had! (outside of NYC. And that was years ago.). Every single place I’ve tried (and there are hundreds, coast to coast), just cannot get it right. Morano’s gets it 100%. I am utterly bummed that I live 400 miles away because I would order multiple ones to freeze and have on hand if I could! Pizza sauce should not ever be sweet in any way, shape or form. Morano’s is the perfect savory sauce. The cheese is full of flavor and the crust is perfectly thin in the center and puffy/crunchy on the edges. My mouth is watering thinking about it and looking at the pic I took. Every pizza place in the country should take a lesson from Morano’s cause this is the absolute real deal.

Had Morano’s for the first time and it’s amazing NY style pizza. We’re Italians, originally from Philly/South Jersey area and now live in Maine and we’ve only found 3 legit NY style pizza places in state in the past 11 years that we love, now Morano’s makes the 4th one we’ve found. The cheese pizza was terrific, great flavor from the sauce & the garlic knots were also great. We’re going back again before we leave Lubec and probably will have to make a pizza pilgrimage up this way more often.

My boyfriend and I ate here two of the four nights of our trip-great pizza with fresh ingredients! There is seating outside and cornhole/other yard games while you wait if you don’t order ahead. We took our pizza to go – there are several picnic tables around various areas of Lubec with beautiful ocean views. I highly recommend enjoying them with a Morano’s pizza in hand

The pepperoni pizza was amazing! So much flavor and real diced pepperoni. The service was amazing, actually out of this world! They treated my pup Tivi like a paying customer, they gave him pizza crust and brought him a fresh bowl of water. I will definitely be back when I travel back from RI.

If you want pizza in the Town of Lubec, this happens to be just about your only choice. Fortunately, Morano’s does a nice job preparing the pies. They focus on pizza, just pizza and have become good at it. The crust is good, crunchy where it needs to be and the sauce adds to the favor. Because they are popular, they do run out of pizza from time to time. Tip: You are better off to call early and get your order in on the nights they are open. The pizza makers are pleasant and try to accommodate.

OMG GOOD !!! We got a cheese pizza with ground beef and a Stromboli with a bunch of goodies and some extra Marinera. WOW everything was excellent, I mean really really good. Friendly, helpful service and on time ready. We only wish we were staying a bit longer to stop by again. We hope you like it as much as we did.

Strange experience here. It’s possible that they have the best Italian food in Maine, but I’ll never know; we left because the woman behind the counter refused to give us what we asked for. It would be great to try their food with more accommodating service.
