I had the garlic fries and they were better than I had expected. Crispy, long wedges, the right portion, I would say like 9 large potato wedges like 5 inches long.

Just happened to cross this for truck on our way back from Mt Wachusett. A happy accident as the food was great and the two owners very pleasant. They tried to accommodate food allergies where possible. I can see this as a good pit stop when visiting Wachusett Reservoir or the Wachusett area more generally.

My family was able to try the majority of their menu last week for dinner, and we LOVED every last bite. High quality and fresh ingredients that are thoughtfully prepared in creative dishes – what’s not to like? We can’t wait to come back again soon! Owners are very kind.

We just stopped for a snack and the orange donuts are to die for!!! Crunchy on the outside and SO soft on the inside. Delicious little pillows of awesomeness. Highly recommend you stop!

Every bite of every meal I’ve ever gotten from here has me exclaiming, “this is SO good!!!!” Today my spouse and I had the garlic wedge fries w/ sambal aioli (perfectly spiced by the way) and the green pea falafel (somehow so much more moist and decadent than any other falafel I’ve ever had and the flatbread……she’s perfect), but the real star of the show were the orange ricotta donuts with blueberry sugar. Those donuts are the DEFINITION of succulent! They melt away into such beautiful fruit flavors all while being wonderfully crispy on the outside…I digress. Y’all need to go here! It is imperative! A need!!!! We’ve never been disappointed. These folks clearly love food and flavor and cooking

I was driving along, admiring the scenery, feeling hungry when I saw the food truck. I am so happy I stopped. These folks obviously love preparing food, and are discerning cooks who care about their ingredients and their results.

We’ve been eating by the old stone church all the way back to the “Salubrious Days” of Bob’s truck, and I will always be ready to enjoy a hot dog there at the newer truck (Ron’s) which is equally great. But Mortar and Pestle is a really nice compliment to the usual burger and dog fare, if you are looking for a change of pace. Great dishes with international flare, from Tacos to Soba noodles to grilled chicken Caeser Wraps, M&P serves up a really tasty lunch! Menu varies but there is always something worth trying here, give them a shot!

What could be more ideal: a beautiful day at the Wachusett Reservoir and lunch from the M&P food truck. They offer an enticing mix of ethnic cuisine with vegetarian options. If you’re an adventurous eater you’ll love this place and if you’re not, give it a try. A welcome change from the usual roadside fare.
