Came here for Mother’s Day brunch with my kids. Found a clean table and sat down after the waitress said we could. Waited half an hour and no one came over to even acknowledge my family. No drinks, no menus. The bartender was standing around and the servers, tho busy, would look right at us and walk away. Even after they started to slow down or would get a dull moment. I work at a competing restaurant and I definitely know why we get told we have better service. I’ll never be back with how atrocious the service was. Part of working at a sport bar and diner is being able to handle busy times with good customer service. Something every single employee there is obviously lacking.

Literally the worst service I have ever gotten. What kind of restaurant does not have drinks on the menu? At first I did not know what I wanted, then when I looked at the menu it said ask the server. She didn’t even try to tell me what the drinks were. Then when I asked what they have she started arguing with me. After that I walked out. I will never go here again.

After bad service at another restaurant, we came to Motherlode for lunch and were not disappointed. The servers were very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. The menu has a lot of goodness to chose from and absolutely delicious. Thank you and see you again soon for breakfast.

We wanted so badly to love this place but the only thing that was right…Was my water. Bless the server, she was certainly trying. Our Bloody Mary’s were straight vodka and tomato juice but we got that straightened out. We waited for an eternity for one meal, that we were splitting. It came out full of onions, which was the only thing we asked not to have. The waitress finally came by and told us we had someone else’s order, took it from our table and delivered it to its owner……after we had touched it to investigate for onions. Awhile later, the 2nd attempted order came out…. Again with onions. We were needing to leave since we had been waiting for so long, she offered to have the kitchen make me another meal. We got to sit and listen to the kitchen berate the server and her try to explain herself to them. After all of this, we were still charged for everything. Not a great experience, other than the water and our laughter at how terrible the experience was.

Order the chicken Alfredo fettuccine. Came with a house salad and really good ranch dressing and a small side of broccoli and toast. The entire meal was really good. I sat at the bar really nice people highly recommend this place if you’re spending the night in Helena.
