Got 3 pizzas and w beers (personal pozzas) was 111$ before tip. Only sour dough pizza, the only decent one was the margarita pizza. I understand this is newport, but it’s literally a Pinera Bread building and they painted over it. Would not recommend.

We have been going to mother’s for over 10 yrs, never had anything that I didn’t like, their pizza is breedy and thinner but good toppings and ratio, their subs are big and packed in and their servings for fries and chicken fingers are overflowing. Prices are fare also. The guys are friendly and down home just like family. Try them for yourself if it not for you that ok also, they have made it for 40+ based on people that care and love their stuff, their part of the community!

I get the sense that these guys are a community pillar, which I think explains the high ratings. Walking in, I wanted to love this joint – really cool looking guys behind the counter doing honest work; however, I think an overall rating of 3.5 stars would be more appropriate to reflect the quality of the food and how I felt about spending my money here. The pizza was uninspired… underwhelming, really. The crust especially let us down. The wings were sub-par. It looks like the cheese steak is good from other reviews, but I don’t see myself returning. Two stars – there is so much better pizza in town for the same price, there’s no reason for Mother’s to hold the highest rating in Melrose.

I can only speak to the pizza. Greek, styrofoam crust style. Nothing Italian or particularly tasty about it. To be fair, it’s only $2 per slice, and that’s what it taste like. It always shocks me as to what qualifies as 4 star pizza. Maybe the other food here is good.
