Excellent and flavorful food at a competitive price. Dinner was very affordable for the quality of the ingredients. We will be coming back to try again. The only thing that wasn’t very impressive but still acceptable was the service. They missed basic things, like immediately suggesting ideas for new people eating, refilling drinks when you see an empty glass, and asking when you’re ready to order. It may have just been an off day for the waiter, but overall, it was a wonderful place to have an Italian dinner.

Traveling on business, I sat at the bar dining alone, the bartender was quite pleasant and friendly and made a few recommendations for appetizers and entrees. If you’re an eggplant fan, and I am, you should take advantage of probably the best eggplant parmesan available. That’s a great main dish and the red sauce, gravy is also quite good. The disappointment during this trip was the appetizer which was mozzarella wrapped in kale. It lacked any sort of flavor or substance as a standalone and the pickled radish on top would have been a nice compliment however it’s sat on a bed of what appeared to be marinated onion in the combination of the three together was quite off-putting. Outside of that when in Durham, and in the mood for incredible eggplant, this is a must visit.

Great location and service was first class. Wine list is mostly Italian with some good values. We had a group of 4 and two of us loved our meals and 2 were disappointed. The cavatelli with rapini and fennel was way over spiced and extremely salty. The tagliatelle ragu was ok, but needed spice and cheese. Bruschetta appetizer was very tasty and different. It was very busy and you need a reservation.

This place is absolutely divine. The plates are small so you can order many different things. The squid ink pasta is really salty but great, and all of their desserts are absolutely amazing. The pasta dishes were very similar to the food I had in Naples and Florence so it’s definitely authentic Italian.

Make your reservation RIGHT now!! This place is my favorite restaurant when I visit the area! We had dinner there 5/10 and tried 2-3 options from each section of the menu AND from the specials that were offered that evening. The three of us have our personal favorites but we 100% agree that NOTHING was a disappointment. Every single bite of food was a happy delicious experience.

I had the baked potato gnocchi in a fall squash fondue sauce which was amazing. The desserts were tasty as well. Our server was a young lady at the bar and she was so kind and friendly, she also made recommendations for me since I have a food allergy. The owner and chef were also super accommodating and very nice. Make sure to make reservations as they are busy.
