I have to admit that this is not the best sichuan restaurant I’ve been to but dishes are decent. They are a brand from New York and recently opened up in LA. It’s nicely decorated with beautiful oriental interior. Staff are friendly and helpful. There’s a QR code on the table to show menu with pictures if you have no idea what the dishes are.

Awesome service here, wait staff is very friendly and the managers are personable. One of our dishes was just too salty and the manager just wrote it off for us.

Great new addition to Rowland Heights! The atmosphere is STUNNING and the food is worth the wait. Get there early and use the Yelp app service to get in queue.

This place has spectacular decorations; I’ve always wanted to try it in New York but never had the chance; I’m so glad they opened one in California.

They have recently opened a new location in Rowland Heights, adding to their existing establishments in New York’s Manhattan and Flushing locations. The restaurant boasts an ancient Chinese garden theme with wooden houses and stunning decor. The cuisine served is very authentic, and the food presentation is impeccable. If you have a fondness for Szechuan-style spicy foods, you must pay them a visit. This place stands out as one of the best Szechuan restaurants in the area, offering an array of delectable dishes with addictive levels of spiciness. The Mountain House offers a unique selection of Szechuan cuisine that you won’t find elsewhere. In addition to the amazing food, their customer service is top-notch, and the staff provides excellent recommendations.

Highly recommend two my personal favorite food: 1. Ma-Ma Hot Fish (麻麻藤椒鱼) that in the Ma-La Szechuan part. Fish is fresh and delicious. 2. House chicken (川山甲跳水鸡)which in the Clod Dish part.

Saw this on IG and gave it a try – the decor was great and very nice. Service was excellent too. The food was good but wouldn’t say it’s excellent for my taste. Overall, would be back for sure! Place was a bit hard for me to find the first time…

Sichuan Mountain House, a true gem originating from the East Coast, has won my vote with its elegant ambiance, attentive service, and authentic Sichuan dishes. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the elegant decor, and the menu is a treasure trove of Sichuan delights. From the beautifully presented pork belly with cucumber to the delightful whole steamed fish, there’s something to satisfy every palate.

Mountain House restaurant: I did not recommend this restaurant because they had very spicy foods and the foods didn’t taste good. The first sizzling pants for Kung Pao chicken (in a cast iron pan) were all spicy chilly (most were chili) and very little chicken as you can see on the photo. The kung Pao chicken (in an aluminum tray) was cheaper and tastier. Tip is 18% to 25%+. Fried rice was just grease. The black fish soup is ridiculously sour like lemonade. Don’t believe in reviews until you try it. The service was not professional.

Fantastic service and divine food. I had the Rabbit with Peppers and I can highly recommend it! Their tea is great and so is their lychee rose sparkling soda.
