Hearkening back to simpler times, much of the decor of this neighborhood deli has remained charmingly unchanged as ownership has been in the same family for generations. This is truly a place where the owners and staff will get to know your name. This is a regular stop for our breakfast sandwiches or lunch.

The Mountainside Deli is a charm! During lunch rush, it’s worth the wait. My favorites are the hot turkey sandwiches, italian subs and french onion soup. Other daily specials that are great are the meatloaf, meatball subs and the extra special german potato salad. (You should probably call ahead if you want a lot of that potato salad! It’s popular!) Now that I’ve moved out of NJ, the Mountainside Deli is missed. May have to take a trip back, just to get a great lunch!

Love this place. The people are great, they know your name after you’ve been there a few times, very friendly. Good selection for sandwiches. The fish sandwiches are awesome and one of the best burgers in the area. Good spot for breakfast too. If you’re in the area stop in and give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Very nice and attentive staff with a wide selection of food to enjoy a very reasonably low prices for the area. Good drink selection of bottled stuff. You can get stuff from the grill or get a cold cut deli sandwich. They have hot plated food for some extra flavoring the whatever you might be getting. Also they have a freezer full of the prepacked Ice Cream just right for a really hot Summer day. I would come back here again.

Ordered from here 09/20/19. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese on a plain Keizer roll for my wife. For myself I ordered the platter with egg white and bacon. We open the order my wife’s sandwich had poppy seeds all over it and my egg dish had cheese all over it as well as whole eggs. I had repeated my order 4 times and it was still wrong. I immediately called and they said they can rectify it or reimburse, but because we were going to my brothers wedding we couldn’t turn back. They said they would reimburse me then, but never got it. It’s not about the money, but after repeating an order 4 times and waiting over 20 minutes for an order I expect it to be right. Disappointing and disappointed. I love to support local, but this may end up being a local disaster.
