I am absolutely blown away by how incredibly fantastic the food is. We got the new Kentucky roll, the Hollywood roll, and the lobster roll as well as the seafood chowder and everything was to die for. My personal favorite is the seafood chowder, I could eat it for every meal for the rest of my life and die happy. At first, I thought the food couldn’t possible be as good as I’d heard because the location is untraditional and there isn’t much seating but I was so wrong. I’ve eaten at so many subpar sushi places and even the sushi restaurants that I thought were amazing can’t come close to the excellence at Moyashi.

Very fresh fish and veggies. The rice and even the toasted sesame seeds were perfect. There’s not much seating, but the food is worth waiting for. I was impressed by how large the menu is for such a small place.

The food was superb. We had the seafood chowder and crunch roll. The space is small and friendly with a communal table in the center and side table for private dining. Friendly service and take out too.

By far the best sushi in Jefferson County! The quality is insanity, the fish was completely fresh and the presentation was beautiful! Will come back for sure! My girlfriend and I got the crunch roll and the Playboy roll!

Cannot recommend this place more. Madison/Hanover is so lucky to have this gem! Don’t waste your money going anywhere out of town for great food and sushi. Authentic, customizable, depth of flavors, fresh and very well done. Kudos to Tori and the crew. It is outstanding. If you call ahead, they will have it ready for you on arrival. Or eat on their tables outside in the summertime or inside in their quaint dining space (in non-pandemic times). Don’t forget the miso soup!

Every year for our anniversary we get sushi. Since moving here we didn’t think that would be possible until we found Moyashi. We moved from the Chicago area, so sushi is something we have had a lot of with good quality or so we thought. Moyashi proved me wrong! This place is amazing! The absolute best sushi I have ever had! You can taste the quality & love they put into ever dish. We will definitely be back many time!

Is moyashi even open anymore? There’s nothing saying they aren’t, but haven’t been open anytime I visited or called. Not professional at all, really annoying. Just say if you’re open or not instead of letting your loyal customers guess.
