Established in 2021, we are a family owned restaurant located at 5430 Olive Dr. Ste D. Being in the food industry for over 15 years, in 2021 the Perez-Villa family finally jumped on an opportunity to open their first establishment as Mr. Avocado’s Mexican Asada Grill. Being from Michoacan, the name of Mr. Avocados was the perfect fit. Michoacan is a state in Mexico that is heavily known for its agricultural production of avocados. We are honored to bring to you some of the best quality mexican food classics. We also are the home of the delicious Tri-Tip tacos. Visit us for a quality meal!

Very good experience, been here multiple times now with my family and have no negative comments about Mr. Avocados. Greeted with good customer service and the food while simple is very tasty. The owners are very friendly and the service is quick. Recommend the Cali burrito on your next stop.

I went right when they opened. The cashier was super nice. I felt bad that I didn’t have cash to tip her. Their pos machine did not give me the option to give tip. Asada tacos were fresh. They had a variety of salsa available. If I’m ever in their neck of the woods, I would go here again as I’m picky about my asada tacos, especially how the meat is chopped up.

My husband and I tried Mr. Avocado based on so many great reviews. In our opinion, we do not see what is so great about it. The food was okay but nothing that set it apart from other Mexican restaurants in Bakersfield. The restaurant was cold due to the back door in the dining room which is also where the food is prepared, that being said if you have a cold kitchen, food is going to be cold too. We tasted nothing fresh about the food and the service was shallow as well. It was a fare try but we will not be returning.

I’m not sure how I got there…the prices surprised me as to I wanted to save some money and ended up spending over 25 bucks for tacos and one burrito….We were the only ones dining in around 1 pm on a Wednesday. Requested some horchata on my small cup but was told no refills…okay to get more soda….simple compliance to my request would have made me to possibly return but did not happen.

Recently visited and was amazed by everything! The new owners are friendly and you automatically feel welcome once you walk in. Everything is affordably priced and service is fast! They have a great variety of foods to choose from so there’s something for everyone. I had the Hot Cheeto Taco’s (as pictured) and they tasted great, not soggy at all and greatly balanced. Overall great experience, will definitely return and I heavily recommend this place!
