Everything was so flavorful. I had the meatloaf over yellow rice with Baked macaroni and cheese and green beans w/ red potatoes. Chef’s kiss!!! I also got the baked turkey wing. The waitress was funny and helpful with our selections. My sister and I got a mango margarita. We loved them, Good and Strong. Oh let me not forget the sweet potato cornbread muffin with honey butter. The flavors were distinctive and bold!!!

Ordered early Sunday afternoon from DoorDash and the food got here in less than an hour. It was piping hot, and fresh! Everything was absolutely amazing. We got the turkey wings, oxtails and beef short ribs. The meat was falling off the bones! We also got yams, Mac and cheese, greens, cabbage and string beans. This is my new fav spot for Sunday dinner!

This is my new favorite lunch spot or dinner! All I know is this place here hits the spot. Every bite was flavorful enough to make me buy a second plate again right then and there! Definitely will be coming back here. I had the oxtails with baked Mac and cheese, collard greens; along side with some greens beans and corn bread muffin. Most definitely reminded me of home . Let me tell ya they didn’t miss a beat! 5 stars ⭐️

I decided to try M&R cafe because there aren’t too many good soul food restaurants in my city. Let’s start with service, super friendly and my order was ready right on time. The food? Even better. The container it came in separated all the food it was neatly packed and looked super delicious:) The chicken was falling right off the bone, perfectly seasoned & cooked. The rice was also, to my surprise, cooked to perfection as well. My entire meal was 10/10!! Food tastes home cooked which makes the entire experience even better, I will always be coming back to M&R.

2/25/23 was my first time trying this place and I will say the food was flavorful and tasted like a home cooked southern meal should. We had the chicken and rice, Mac and cheese with greens and muffin. My only complaint is the chicken and rice was wayyyyyy too salty! My daughter didn’t even finish hers because it was just too much salt. I couldn’t enjoy my food how I wanted to. I will try again one day and hope they aren’t too heavy handed with the sodium.

We ordered 4 orders of the baked chicken. It was very flavorful and tender. The yellow rice was amazing. I will consider running by just for a pan of rice. It didn’t take long to get our food, which was hot and smelling so good. The boxes were full, so I feel that we got good value for the money.
