What a delightful restaurant. The food is good and the service was the friendliest and most attentive of the restaurants we visited in Nola. We tried the Louisiana Crawfish Pies, the Creole Redfish, and the Creole Gumbo. All the dishes were well seasoned, piping hot, and the portions were generous enough for us to share. Our server, Scott W. (according the receipt) was an absolute delight. He was friendly, super attentive, and was kind enough to not only give us recommendations on places to visit, but also asked around to give us recommendations for a good slice of pecan pie – something we really wanted to try for some reason, but Mr. Ed’s doesn’t offer. If you can get a seat in the upstairs dining area, take it – it’s a bit quieter upstairs and just a pleasant place to sit. It’s a restaurant we’d visit again when we’re in the area.

Cute little 2 story restaurant with super friendly and nice staff. There is probably always a line to get in though! We tried the fried alligator, the seafood platter, and the charbroiled oysters. I love raw oysters, and I’m not a big fan of cooked ones, BUT these charbroiled oysters were amazing!!! It comes with a piece of garlic bread, which was also very delicious. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Our first experience on a Wednesday was simply amazing. Great service and amazing food. The oyster butter was to die for. We returned that Friday and it was a completely different experience. To our shock the oyster butter was not the same, no comparison to whomever made it on Wednesday. We sat at the bar again but it was a less friendly bartender. For such a great first experience we are not sure about returning

My husband and I got the Fried Shrimp platter with Jambalaya instead of fries. The shrimp was very good. It was seasoned perfectly. The jambalaya was good also but had uncooked rice in it. What we did not care for is that the waitress did not come back to our table to ask if we needed anything except at the very beginning when she brought our food out until it was time to pay the bill. I ran out of cocktail sauce before my shrimp was finished and needed more to drink also. The waitress were sitting outside instead of inside seeing to the needs of the customers.

I had the pleasure of dining at Mr. Ed’s Oyster Bar & Fish House recently, and I can honestly say the experience was outstanding.

We are here for lunch and it did not disappoint at all! The chargrilled oysters were absolutely amazing! One of my favorites in the city. I liked the rosemary seasoning on it because it added a different flavor. I also ordered the Creole Combo and it was delicious! One of the best jambalaya I’ve had. At first I felt like there wasn’t going to be enough food but I wasn’t even able to finish it all. The creole combo came with creole shrimp, rice, jambalaya and crawfish etouffe. I really loved all the flavors in the jambalaya and the creaminess of the crawfish etouffe was spot on! One of my favorite dishes that I had in the city!

Good food and welcoming service. Space looks small, but they also have a second floor. Everything we ordered was great, but wish the server had mentioned that the seafood muffletta would be a whole muffletta! Would also mention that the seafood muffletta is a little lackluster in terms of taste. Would stick to other choices – esp. the oysters.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this establishment, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the fried fish. To complement my meal, I decided to try their hurricane drink. It turned out to be a fantastic choice. As a lover of banana foster, I couldn’t resist ordering it for dessert. And boy, am I glad I did! The banana foster at this establishment was simply delightful.

Food was delicious. Oysters were yummy. Best gumbo i had while visiting. My only complaint is the white rice was mixed with uncooked rice pretty badly. It was throughout it.

Our server Lawrell was amazing. She made good recommendations for us and always checked back on us. I had the chicken and sausage gumbo and my wife got boiled crawfish. We also had a half dozen oysters. Food and service were great.
