I’ve been going to Mr G’s since I was a kid and my moms been going for 25+ years. Best Gyro spot in the Midwest! I moved a couple hours away but I still drive out here JUST for Mr G’s Gyros and the amazing Tzatziki sauce that they make from scratch. Family run business they are super friendly! The food always tastes the same every time. They know what they’re doing! Anyone who hasn’t had Mr G’s needs to try it and anyone who has had it knows they don’t get the attention they deserve. Anytime I go in the lines are short. Very slept on family owned restaurant. Anyone who likes food needs to check this place out!

Stopped on my way south to Elmhurst for Italian beef and sausage combo with green peppers dipped. Excellent, beef was thinly sliced, peppers done perfectly and the sauce was great. As a bonus they have tamales from the same company that made them in the 1950’s when I lived in Chicago.

This is just a shame, i have gave this place so much business to be treated the way i was. Today, we have called in an order for pick up. The girl I had spoke with to my understanding was new. That’s ok I have patience and understand that new hires can take time.

Delicious Gyros and generous portions make Mr. G’s a local gem. We love their house made Tzatziki sauce, and the Gyros plate comes with Feta Cheese and Kalamata Olives that must be imported from Greece because they are delicious! Go ahead and give Mr. G’s a try, you won’t be disappointed.
