Probably hadn’t been to Mr. Han in 2 decades. Why did I wait so long. Was in Gainesville Saturday night. Stopped in as soon as they were open, without a reservation. Still, was greeted warmly and given a good table with a nice view. The waitress was attentive and offered suggestions. I started with one of Mr. Han’s signature cocktails. I followed up with 2 Cantonese egg rolls and I had forgotten just how delicious they are. My waitress suggested the Chongqing Spicy Chicken. I would never have ordered this dish on my own. Yet it was delicious and one order is big enough for two people. Atmosphere is elegant and the service matches.

Gainesville’s hidden gem! Mr Han’s Restaurant has been here for more than ten years and it’s my first time going for dinner, it was magnificent! We had the Peking duck, Grandma’s Braised Pork Belly, vegetarian (or vegan? don’t remember) Ants on a Tree, Braised Eggplant with Garlic Sauce, Shrimp With Black Bean Sauce, and Mongolian Beef. By far, my favorite was the eggplant. Amazing! The Peking duck was also fantastic, really juicy meat with crispy skin! It was the only thing I thought to take a picture of. The Ants on a Tree was also really fragrant, with a light taste of chili and sesame oil. Dishes are meant to be shared with the table. We got the flaming lychee for dessert; lychee maraschino cherries are served with a dishes of 151-proof rum on fire. It was delicious and a light way to end the meal. The ambiance is lovely and luxurious, but the food is really fairly priced. The staff was really nice and the owner came by to check on us, really pleasant. If you’re in Gainesville you must try this place!

Absolutely wonderful restaurant. We started with spring rolls and crispy eggplant, then Peking Duck, orange chicken, and pork fried rice. Everything was hot and fresh, especially the duck. You will not be disappointed!

This is by far some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had in any city in the entire country. Staff are well dressed, food is tastes divine, and the restaurant is elegant. The only complaint I have is not finding it sooner which is because it is off the main road. It’s well worth the effort to find it.

Mr Hans has been a favorite of myself and my family for over a decade. The food is phenomenal, the drinks (to which I have more recently become accustomed) are creative, fun and enjoyable, and the atmosphere is welcoming. It’s a classy place that’ll accept you however you’re dressed, and with a menu as large as they offer, everyone’s getting something they’ll enjoy, whether it’s one of the more authentic dishes or something a little more Americanized. Whatever the case, I have yet to be disappointed. The pictures I included are of the ribs and the pork belly.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mr. Han’s Restaurant in Gainesville, and I must say that it was a delightful experience. One of the standout aspects of Mr. Han’s Restaurant is the exceptional quality of its food. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced. The service at Mr. Han’s Restaurant is truly commendable. The owner frequently greets and checks on the guests to make sure they are welcome. It is also worth noting the big scenic window across the entire wall. Easy access from highway 75. You may want to park your car at the parking lot in front of the entrance to avoid climbing the stairs. Overall if you’re looking for quality Chinese food in Gainesville, Mr. Han’s restaurant is definitely the place to go.
