Went here for the first time this Thurs with a party of 8 for a late dinner at 8pm. We were seated right away. And the place is half-packed. We had the premium set which offered seafood and intestine options. Banchans were delicious. Service was excellent. Place was not smoky and well-ventilated. The Strawberry smoothie is supposed to have real fruit chunks but it didn’t have it and it was way too sweet. I had to dilute it with water because it was too much. But other than that it was excellent place and will come here again.

I’ve waited all winter for this restaurant to open, finally they did and satisfied me and my friends with the same top quality meat as their first location. Above all, the huge restaurant inside must be the best Korean barbecue restaurant in Chicago. Oh~,, I can’t help but recommend “the Korean Candy” Cocktail enjoyed with the barbecue. If you are in Chicago, you should definitely experience this restaurant’s quality of meat and side dishes and their quick service.

At $35 per person premium option, Mr. Kimchi Korean BBQ offers a decent all-you-can-eat experience. The pork belly steals the show with its tender, juicy meat and crispy exterior. While the galbi falls short compared to a la carte restaurants, it still satisfies. Surprisingly, the beef brisket is tender and flavorful. The squid stands out among the seafood options, being exceptionally tender and not chewy. The two types of intestines are an acquired taste and best avoided if you’re not adventurous.

My partner and I visited Mr. Kimchi for the first time and were amazed at not only the quality of food, but also the service. Especially, Galbi and Samgyeobsal were really good. This is easily one of, if not the best meal we’ve ever eaten. I cannot recommend this place enough! Such a warm and welcoming environment! I want to come to this restaurant everydayy

Such an amazing place with delicious food!! I’ve been going to their original location since 2021 and have been loving their new location. It’s the same great quality as the original location, just more modern and spacious.

Finally got to try this restaurant! Everything from the entrance to the dining area was exceptionally beautiful. The restaurant was very clean. Service on drinks was a bit slow but everyone was very nice and friendly. On the other hand the meat came out very quickly. We had a really great time. I highly recommend their Korean candy drinks! We had the mango and strawberry ones. As for the meat, pork belly is the way to go! We tried the garlic, lemon, Cajun and wine pork belly. All of them were excellent. We also got the teriyaki chicken and Cajun chicken but they were cut very thin and stuck to the grill. Great atmosphere for drinks and food. Come try them out!!!

I know some restaurants add on an x amount of gratuity for large party to protect the wait staffs but I’ve never seen restaurant charge an 18% regardless for everyone, maybe this is an area where people usually tip terribly. Most importantly the quality of food is just so so, when you are combining that with the cost, you will not get a very high rating. Now, if this is the only game in town, then maybe I’ll go back but there are plenty of good Korean places in town.
