Eaten here for years. Understand it is under new ownership. Food quality and portions are way down. Service is nothing like it used to be, had to go to counter for refills. Prices are higher also. Will be looking for a new go-to Chinese restaurant.

Food is excellent, they make the best hot sour soup in Shelby County, I always get their dumplings and been getting their lo mein! My folks love their happy family, we always get carry out and their portions are very generous! It’s definitely my go to spot, their dining room is very clean and usually busy when I go in. Pictured is happy family with double order of rice.

It is not the same since the new owners took over!! The first thing I noticed were the cleanliness of the floors. My first step inside and I almost busted on the grease slick floors. Next, everyone eating in the restaurant had to take their cups to the front for refills. The portions are smaller with less meat. And the food is just ok now. Also, the hot and sour soup is not full of goodies anymore. The good news is that I don’t have to drive to Helena from Bluff Park ever again.

The taste on the food has changed a lot, but I have realized that the previous owners are not there anymore even though I have been told many times that she is on vacation and that she is coming back. I really think it is just under new management and of course new cooks which there’s nothing wrong with that, I just personally liked the taste of the food before.

The food is amazing,I get the house lo míen or Mongolian Combination with fried rice it’s truly amazing. I get it during lunch time before 3pm because that’s when they give a egg roll and a hot and sour soup with the food. They are welcoming, I haven’t had a bad experience, I’ve been going for a year now. So far so good!

This has been our go to place for years. Best Chinese in birmingham. But just found out the original owners and operators are gone and food has gone way down hill. New ownership is not doing this place justice. Time to find a new place :0(

Very attentive staff from the moment you walk in, no matter how busy they are. They make you feel like family. The food is excellent. My wife used to go here when she was a kid. They remembered her after ten years past since she had been there. We drive nearly thirty miles to go here and it is well worth it.

Long time lovers of Mr. Lins but was so, so disappointed tonight. Ordered Mongolian Beef and steamed dumplings for my husband and I to share. The beef came in the normal take home box and was barely half-full. Majority of the food in the box was completely raw onion and we got to share about 5 pieces of small meat. Not sure what’s going on, but this isn’t the norm. $25 worth of food and we should have just went to Walmart and grabbed something frozen for an easy Sunday night dinner. Guess we will try Zhous next time…..
