I recently visited Mr. Patakon, and it was an absolute delight! The food was delicious, and the ambiance of the restaurant transported me to Colombia. I’m pleased to find out this new Colombian Restaurant . Every meal from the menu can be served either with Arepa, Sub or Patacon (fried green plantain). This time we tried Patacon Loco that comes with Cheese, shredded beef and garlic sauce, as well Arepa Criolla served wtih Cheese, corn, shredded beef and colombian sauce.

We’ve eaten here several times since they opened and will keep coming back. The food is excellent, fast, fresh, and very filling. I saw a review that mentioned small portions and all I can think was that they got a single empenada – all of the entrees we have gotten leave me stuffed full.

They have the tastiest shredded beef I have ever had! Full of flavor & juicy. The shredded chicken is great also. Their fries are delicious. The food is made to order so it will be a little wait. Very clean inside & nice bathrooms. I loved everything but the shredded beef arepa I got without cheese was amazing!!! I recommend the supremo platacon so you can try all their meat. It’s amazing and nothing like I have ever had. It was worth the drive out south. It’s not hard to find either it’s 10 mins south of the imax exit in the plaza with the wall mart behind IHOP next to once upon a child. lots of close parking also.
