He is influenced by his travels around the world and his love language is food. When he prepares a dish he is connecting with cultures, memories, and loved ones. For him, food is meant to be a shared experience.
With a swiss army culinary tool belt at his disposal guests of his will never have to decide between just one or two dishes. An amalgamation of tastes from Italy to Asia and more are crafted into shared plates which will satisfy the most adventurous of food cravings.

Decided to do our own taste of Newport experience and we’re so grateful we put Mr. R as one of our stops. The inside has a hip, fun vibe…sort of upscale diner meets chill cafe! We enjoyed small plates with generous servings of calamari, roasted Brussel sprouts with Gorgonzola, fried risotto, and pork dumplings. They were all delicious. It’s BYOB so that was a bonus. Our waiter was so welcoming and helpful. Definitely coming back next time we’re in Newport.

What an incredible addition to the Newport restaurant scene I almost don’t want this secret to get out! The food was off the charts and a different spin on various plates, My biggest issue was I wanted to order the entire menu.. from the dumplings to the steak sandwich it was all a hit they even made a Parmesan noodle dish for my child and in the perfect location away from the madness of downtown and with the option of takeout and byob this place is a 10!
