If you decide you want a big a$$ salad, you will LOVE their chef salad! We get them for take-out for lunch and love it. They have a great online ordering system, and take-out is extremely organized! The price is pretty great as well!

Great reasonably priced restaurant. A comfortable country setting, tables are not crowded together and the staff is very friendly. I knew it would be good from the beginning with the great aromas in the parking lot as we entered the building. This was the best county fried steak I’ve had in a long time. My date had grilled shrimp which she said was seasoned perfectly. We both thought the turnip greens were delicious too. I highly recommend giving Mr. Spuds a try. I will eat here again and again.

First timer. We had the country fried steak, rice, gravy, turnip greens, fried chicken, pinto beans, hash browns biscuits, stew squash, and okra/tomatoes. Nothing special except the okra/tomatoes. Skip the hash browns. Price point a little high.

We’d give this place 10 stars but there’s only 5 stars. From the time we walked in to the time we left everything service food and atmosphere were amazing. Our waitress Tammy was very attentive and hilarious. She was very nice. Can’t wait to eat here again. Also biscuits are amzing.

This place is always busy! So for the review seated and ordered quickly for the volume of people. My guest could not decide on a special and a recommendation was offered and accepted. Bravo so many servers miss this subtle way to help. It’s all about the surprise honey butter biscuit which was light and fluffy in texture with just the right heft to make a biscuit lover happy! (the king might be dethroned here). I ordered a special country fried steak and three sides. My guests meal came with two sides. We are currently waiting well maybe not food was quick and looks awesome. I adjusted my original post because there are a couple needs improvement I wanted to mention. First I found myself wanting a bun for the country fried steak it was a burger onions and brown gravy and it left no special place in my heart because I’m used to a light breading on country steak (100’s of places I have tried) no breading just threw me off. My Brussel sprouts had no seasoning very bland. Pear cobbler a first and I loved it. Our honey dew was room temp on a hot day. My guest was not hungry and left with the whole meal boxed minus one chicken finger she said something was sticking out of the batter. I want to come back and try reviewing later because a place this busy has to be better then what impression we left with. Veteran And socially friendly environment for all and our server was a very nice gentleman. Staff seemed nice so I’m chocking up the review as a 4 not 5 stars because our meal lacked something and although I’m full I did not love it. This is not how I saw this review going.

Food was great, atmosphere was fun, excellent service! I’ll have to come back often to be able to try all the good-looking options on the menu. Hamburger steak and mashed potatoes this time around were delicious and homey.

Mr. Spuds is a really good meat & three restaurant, with a rotating assortment of choices every day for lunch, and a set selection for dinner. They also have a lot of (fried) seafood options as well as steaks, sandwiches, salads and stuffed potatoes.

Place is no joke. Just like momma/grandma cooked it. Haven’t gotten to try the spud but the lunch plate came out piping hot and for 11 bucks very few are running with it. Nothing like home cooked real southern food for this weather. Got my fix for sure. The biscuit was as fresh as you can make them. God bless y’all Merry Christmas ✝️
