The sushi is amazing! The appetizers dumplings, spring rolls and clear soup are my favorites. It used to be $17 per person for the unlimited sushi but it looks they have lowered the price to $15 per person as of last week that I went. But also the menu has changed some classic sushi is no longer available or has changed name…Still amazing! One of my favorite places!

First, realize this is a “buffet” style restaurant, in which you pay one price, and eat as much as you can (extra charges for leaving food on your plates). You don’t get up and get it. Servers come and take your penciled order paper and fill your food order. I do suggest that servers ask patrons if it’s their first time in the restaurant, and then explain how things work. Ken, our server, was great, and food came out relatively quickly. Also the price of the food is very reasonable, especially if you have a big appetite. Now about the food…probably the best sushi I’ve eaten in North Carolina (within 30 miles of Cary)since I’ve been coming for visits in 15 years. I almost gave up going to sushi restaurants, as I’m spoiled by the quality of sushi where I live in Orange county, California. Also, the atmosphere is more “upscale”, and the seats have cushions. So many restaurants have hard seating nowadays! My only real complaint was that the music they were playing in the restaurant was very loud. But after asking the server to turn it down a bit, he did that immediately and all was good. Overall, I highly recommend Mr. Tokyo.

One of my new favorite restaurants!! They have an all you can eat option and I would highly recommend it! Their steak hibachi was delicious and we loved every sushi roll that we had! I would highly recommend this place. The food was mouth watering and the atmosphere was also very fun. I can’t wait to go back!

The amount of food that you can get for about $25 buffet is amazing at Mr. Tokyo – you better be a varsity eater than a junior varsity snacker. It is best to come as soon as it opens to have a guarantee table or minimal wait time than later and have anyone from a 30 min-90 min wait for their food. Either choice is well worth it with the delicious appetizers and we’ll crafted sushi. I was lucky enough to go for my friend’s graduation dinner and try all her favorites with her family. They do charge for the amount of food you do not finish so it’s also good to pick a good varsity team to eat when someone else taps out. For appetizers, the Mr. Tokyo bowl is a must for its specialty and only one per person. Other favorites were the shumai was soft and flavorful, tempura shrimp which was not heavy and crispy, the crab rangoon which is always good, and the octopus salad. The sashimi was delicious with well dressed and seasoned rice and fresh fish. The sushi was also fantastic with lots of fish filling and great flavors. The food is handed without order and as come service, so be sure to make room for plates as they come. It’s a great sushi buffet that is well worth the price and shared meal with well trained eating friends.

Recommend coming on a weekday. Weekend and holiday may have a long wait. My personal fav is the salmon lover roll. Most of the rolls under the chef special are pretty good too. Not a fan of their fried goods because of too much breading and too hard to eat. Other than, it’s a great experience here.

Hands down some of the highest quality sushi I’ve had from an all you can eat sushi spot. The price does double on weekends and for dinner, but if you can make it on a weekday during lunch, come HUNGRY!! They make every piece of sushi/sashimi fresh as you order it, and the price includes appetizers and entrees! Very few things cost extra (like mochi or sashimi). The chicken katsu was a miss both days I ordered it (bland the first time, dry and hard the second time), but most everything else was good.

Incredible service and experience. Ken did an excellent job explaining the menu and answering questions along with providing exceptional service. My party of 4 did two all you can eat and two hibachi plates, all which were fantastic. Food came out hot and fast, drinks were always topped off and the atmosphere was great for table conversation. Was shocked at how reasonable the pricing is. I would expect to pay 30-50% more for the amount of food and how great the service was. A+ Please give them a shot!

I came with my family and my partner. We had a good time, though we really overstuffed ourselves! The special rolls were okay, but the gyoza, crab rangoon, vegetable tempura, and edamame we got were better! The sushi didn’t wow me, but it’s still better than Rockin’ Rolls sushi in Raleigh. Quality wise, at least. I might come back: lunch for $15 isn’t bad!
