My family and I have been ordering from Mr. Wok since they opened their doors many years ago. They have delicious food for a decent price. When doing Chinese take out, Mr. Wok is the only one we call. We especially enjoy their Lo Mein (Shrimp, pork, etc.) and Chicken Sticks.

Chicken teriyaki was bland and there was so much juice it was almost like a soup. The container was packed but I still found it expensive. The plain lo mein tasted burnt, but the sweet and sour chicken tasted average. Food was hot and ready to go when I got there.

This place has absolutely the worst customer service possible! They are still providing no dine-in service in an area completely without mandates. Rude from the minute she greets you. Never going back. They are in the wrong business. Dirty too!

I don’t have my food just yet, but I wanted to leave a review to contradict some of the past reviews. The customer service here is fantastic. They had every chance to be upset (I walked in closer to closing than I normally like, 45 minutes), but I was greeted with a smile and cheerful attitude. If the food is as good as the customer service, I’m in for a good dinner.

After reading the reviews, many of these reviewers focused on the customer service and not having dine in service. However, this restaurant provides some of the best Chinese take out food on the Southside of town. Our family has been going to Mr. Wok for years. Joey, the owner, has worked on managing a new family and running their business. As a result, she may have come across as not being friendly. Additionally, she speaks very minimal English which can create the perception of her not being polite and friendly. Please judge their wonderful food and not her lack of communication skills. Again, Joey is a very kind person who works hard every day to provide for her small Chinese family.

Customer Service is the worst. She seemed annoyed as I walked in the door. Her child was sitting up front in pajamas picking its nose. There seemed to be some sort of a wood project in the middle of the floor going to the back. When I received my food I asked where my soup was. I was reprimanded by the lady telling me that I did not specify what soup I wanted and got extra meat instead and the next time I need to tell her what soup I want to get soup. No need. Wont be a next time.

After spending 2 hours+ in the ER tonight due to no disclaimer on their menus about peanut butter being used in “all their lo mein sauces” (quoting the woman on the phone who also was annoyed when we asked for more clarity on what had peanuts in it), we will not be coming back. While their food was ok, the fact there was no disclaimer about peanut butter anywhere on their menu or online, just can’t support a business like this. Food was hot though, lo mein was ok, rice was kinda dry, overall 4/10 on food. Reason for the 1 star.
