All the rumors are true…best fried chicken in town. Amazing flavor, tender and moist. Lots of food offered in the dinner meal with mash potatoes, corn, cabbage, mixed salad, freshly made biscuits with boysenberry jam. Meal included boysenberry pie. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Had a great time and certainly will return.

Reservations were gone for the day but walk in was only 25 mins wait and we were called right on time. I didn’t remember how much food was coming so we ordered onion rings as appetizers and they came the same time as our dinner. Fried chicken is delicious and highly recommend! We were disappointed with the pie as we’ve been spoiled by having Apple Hill nearby. Service was outstanding! Give this place a try. If your short on time or on a budget, they’ve got a smaller shop with fried chicken to go.

The food is always delicious, same great taste for years. Unfortunately the service has lost its home kitchen feel. The restaurant has expanded over the years, but they still kept the dining on a farm interior and ambience. There’s plenty of parking in their multiple lots. The Boysenberry Punch is always a must and you’ll probably be taking some dinner home.

Fresh fried chicken with all the trimings. Got to be honest- the chicken lacked flavor and without salt, pepper, and Tabasco it taste like boiled chicken. The chicken soup was way to thick for my taste. The mash potatoes ans

Mrs. Knotts is still living up to its long history of excellence. While I grieve the loss of the original building with its atmospheric waterfalls on the way to the restrooms, the food and the service are still everything you’d hope for. Lunch was hot, fresh, and delicious. Our server was attentive, helpful, and so friendly. While the menu is extensive and varied, you can’t go wrong with the classic fried chicken with a cup of house made chicken noodle soup to start. It’s more like scooping up a bowl of pot pie filling. Scrumptious. And no matter your dining choice, leave room for Boysenberry pie for dessert even if it means taking some of your main course home. You won’t regret it.

The food was pretty mid I wouldn’t call it the best or a must to go restaurant but it was decent served food. The waiter kind of sucked took forever to get water refills. I had mozzarella sticks and chicken fried steak I would say 6.9 out of 10. It’s a little walk from the parking lot to the restaurant. From parking the car getting into the restaurant eating paying and getting back in my car took around 55 minutes. Parking is free for an hour so it was a little close

A fun place that has the vibes of an older country style restaurant if I have ever seen or visited one. The decor is really cute. Just look above at how they make the shades for lights and you will be pleasantly impressed. The place has been here for as long as I can remember and is one of the highlights if you are in the area, or when you need a break from the fast paced theme park craziness. We had the fried chicken of course. It was a garnish on the cheeseburger that my husband shared with our kid. The biscuits are yummy, as well as the chicken soup that is included with the entrees. We were really full at the end of the meal so we decided to get our dessert next door after finishing our day at Knotts.

My parents brought us here long ago when the place may have been named Old Virginia.
