I had a weird experience at this place.

I had a coworker tell me about this place and along a day trip being a tourist in my own city near Oak St. was eager to give it a try. Our host, server/bartender Sophie, or Sophia, was very welcoming, good spirited, punctual, and professional. We were the only guests at the time, so everything came out quickly but still very fresh and deliciously made. Sophie/a told us she wasn’t a bartender but could’ve fooled me because she did an amazing job executing the drinks recipe! I enjoyed the space, it is open, airy, filled with beautiful plants, the music had a nice mix to it, I was hoping to hear a lil more variety but I did hear some good tunes. There’s only one TV so expect to come prepared with good conversations if you are dining with others. The menu has something for every diet & preference in both food and drinks.

Our second time here. First time, in August 2022, the experience was excellent – service, drinks, food – all perfect. This time the service was lacking, perhaps the wait staff was new but they weren’t familiar with the menu or drinks, the service was slow, and there were a few errors with our order. Food was delicious, as it was the first time. And we had to have crawfish, of course, which was delish. My daughter loves the espresso martini

Crawfish boil and broken rice dish with green beans and avocado was delicious. We opted for the Mukbang seasoning which had the perfect amount of spice. The broken rice was a sticky rice dish with tons of flavor. (just a tad salty) The restaurant had vintage posters and lovely decor. We’ve been wanting to experience Viet Cajun food for a while now and what a great way to end our trip in New Orleans.

Came here the other night with my parents. They didn’t have crawfish unfortunately so I got the blue crab instead! Was very tasty with very nice flavour. My parents got the blackened catfish and pho both were delicious and good portions. Would recommend!

The best crawfish I’ve ever had anywhere! We have been to many restaurants in Louisiana and Houston and it tops every single one. The best sauce! So good that we had to take some home. If you like spice I highly suggest the fiery cajun. You can tell this sauce was made with love and fine ingredients. It’s absolutely finger licking good! Everything we tried was amazing. I have nothing negative to say about this restaurant. The service was top notch. Orlandez made us feel like family walking into the restaurant and took great care of us. The chef/owner took the time to come out to talk us for a bit and show his appreciation.

I had been wanting to try Mukbang after seeing it in the area. I stopped in on a Friday night. There was a live band (pretty common in the area) but oooh they were good! The horn player, chef’s kiss! The customer service was equally pleasing. I was greeted several of the staff. One lady, who I believe may have been an owner, helped me decide what to try. She gushed about finding a local woman owned vendor for the perfect chewy and flaky bread for her po boy sandwiches. She was so happy as if she was recalling the first time she tasted the woman’s bread m. You can tell she wanted patrons to taste how good it is too! So I went with the oyster poboy subbed the fries for the Persian cucumbers. I also ordered the garlic noodles for my appetizer. Yummy! I cleaned the plate. While waiting several staff came by with genuine smiles to check on me. I’m loving it *does body roll* The poboy was good! The bread was as described, right amount of flaky and chewy! It was huge, I only ate half and took the rest home. The cucumbers were fresh and crispy and the vinaigrette dressing, I tried to sop up every crumb with that dressing! I asked for some to go to dip my poboy in!

Wonderful family owned place with amazing food. A tad expensive but the quality is worth it if you’re looking for that type of meal. Decent beer and liquor selection but nothing special and nothing under $6.
