The environment is nice and clean. The staff are friendly and service was great. Arrived about an hour from closing and they hand burnt ends, pulled pork, and shredded brisket available. They were out of brisket and Turkey slices. Pulled pork was good. Their homemade sauce also has a nice flavor. Goes perfect with the pulled pork. However, the burnt ends were slightly dry and very peppery for my taste. Cowboy beans has a little kick. Their banana pudding is pretty good!

Fred and I are BBQ snobs so please keep this in mind.

Second time in and we were again impressed with the quality of the food. Brisket was seasoned to perfection and very tender. Subtle smoke flavor was spot on. The spicy bbq sauce was great for dipping. Sides of potato salad and baked beans were amazing.

This was our first time coming here and EVERYTHING about this place was amazing! Since this was our first time we were not sure about what to have they took the time and helped us also letting us know that they are in the process of updating their menu with a few items that were very good. Like their sample patter with 3 different types of their meet and 2 sides. We have a Family of 5 and we’re able to feed our family for around $60. Which I think is pretty amazing considering we can spend $50 at McDonalds. We used to live in Texas and know what Texas BBQ really tastes like and this is it. Thank y’all so much. God Bless

Ordered 3 ribs could only have one side which cost extra and corn muffin and drink. Very pricey. Each side was separate in cost.

We tried Mule Kicker BBQ this week for lunch, it was their first week open. We are huge fans of lots of different BBQ styles and were interested in trying theirs. We ordered a little bit of just about everything, so we could get a good feel for their menu… I have to admit, the ribs and brisket are on par with all the top contenders in KC, just done in a very simple Texas style! Very nicely seasoned, sauce on the side. Tender meat that is still moist and delicious. We couldn’t get enough! So much so, we had leftovers and ate them for dinner the same day.

Some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had!! The brisket was trimmed and no fat at all( which is important to me) and very tender. Tried the charro beans ( a favorite of mine) and they were spot on . The smoked peach cobbler is a MUST try …delicious. And Taylor was very friendly, happy and very helpful. We will definitely go back .

Staff seems friendly enough. Atmosphere is odd, a lot of remnants of the last Mexican restaurant are still in here. I’d hate to be in here when it’s full, it’s loud enough empty. The ribs are pretty darn good, especially for this area. Burnt ends were ok, even if a little dry and barely warm. Pulled pork was simply tasteless. Cornbread buns for the sandwiches is interesting and decent, as is their sauce. The name is a bit antithetical to the town mascots…they kick mules? I hope business picks up for them, it’s weird that BBQ joints can’t exist in this town for long.

I had the turkey- it had very generous portions and was very moist. With the side of Mac and cheese which was very creamy and cheesy, perfect for bbq food. My partner had the pulled pork sandwich which was very generously piled high with a nice soft bun. My partner is very picky with restaurant sweet tea, and they said it was PERFECT.

I have had the brisket and ribs so far. Both so tender and wow the flavor is amazing. You dont need the sauce (but my husband raved about it) if you don’t want to that comes on the side. Sides are all so flavorful too. Can’t wait to try more!!
